"Oh you got up." Katelyn sat comfortably on the living room couch , she was holding a bowl of popcorn while noticing my existence.
"Yeah , where's my stuff ?" I rubbed my forehead.
"They're all right here...I really want to get to know you better , where are you from ?" Katelyn got up from the couch , her ass left the spot and went to the cabinet for the guest's back pack.
"Lakewood." I took my back pack from her hands and looked at her as if I was going to leave.
"Where are you going ? It's midnight out there..." Katelyn asked.
"What's wrong with going out in a midnight ?" I asked.
"Well , there's a lot of unpredictable I mean dangerous things that lurk around at night..." Katelyn cleared her throat , obviously she wasn't going to tell much about the news.
"What sort of things ?" I asked.
"Well , unsafe things." Katelyn reduced as much as she can expose.
"I have to , I need to go , I can't stay. Thank you for your offering and a roof for me to take shelter while I was unconscious." I reached for the front door knob , I noticed it when I came downstairs earlier.
"But..." Katelyn knew she had to stop her , a lonely traveler out in the night in this place wouldn't be called as safe as it should , but as soon as she shouted for her again , she was gone. The door was half open , Katelyn ran to the doorstep , only to find the girl's back faced to her as she ran to the shadows under the sky bridge.
Running , panting , breathing. I was never a good athlete , I took my time to think. I thought of going to the police department to find if there was any information about my mom's case. But figuring it out , only to know that I was lost in the dark alley.
Of all these closed down shops and black coated walls , mossy floors and abandoned stalls , the only beautiful thing that's left is the moon , up there.
I tilt up my head , to find that the moon was hidden between a bunch of fog and clouds. The fog and clouds manage to reach from the sky to the bottom of my heart.
A drunk middle aged man and his gang walked up to the alley , I couldn't assume that they didn't see me or that they were talking to a wall. As you see , they are strongly drunk.
He came closer and closer to me , I felt a strange fear running up my chest , I clenched my fist , eyes wide open , forcing my self , to think of a way to get out of this alley safe and sound.
But it's never a safe place with drug dealers and alcohol addictors.
Nervously , this was the first time I ever got into a situation like this. I can't believe it's held in Boscaria , such a place I wasn't born in , a place my mother last rested.
He starts to shake my shoulder hard , forth and back. Resistingly I tried to keep balance on the hard floor.
He was impatient.
Any time now , he could start beating me up , raping me and abusing me like the scenes in the movies , but this time , there's not going to be a knight in shining armor appearance or a sudden person who passed by to lend a hand.
There's no fucking people or citizens in this crap place.
I looked at the drunk man in the eye , my mouth only to mutter words , "Please don't hurt me..."
That was for self defense , never thought that he would gag up and actually start laughing like an evil mohawk.
I stared intensely as his current outer skin started to devour his inner skin , that doesn't make any sense right ? , His clothes were crumbled in and was in no sight to view as he turned completely black , his eyes did not have eyeballs , but left with two empty shells and a flat nose. His mouth was a crooking half moon smile that got chills up my spine.
Clearly he wasn't human.
I knew that the second he starts eating himself up.
Not long then , his other gang peoples start to do the same thing as he did. It creeps me out.
My legs gave in to the fear , I scramble don to the floor , feeling the dirty texture of it did not help of the situation.
I thought , did mother end like this ?
