Chapter 11

Lilly’s POV

I wandered through the forest, glancing at the rouge that was following me. I needed to get to the tree house where the kids kept some embarrassing photos of the pack members. I climbed up the ladder and the kids in their jumped,

I smiled at them, “I need some dirt on Julian and Devin” I said and they all smiled evilly at each other before walking over towards a box that had Julian’s and Devin’s name on it. They opened the box and gave it to me. I pulled out a photo to see Devin lip-locking with a girl. I closed and pushed the photo away before I took out another to see them holding hands. I guess Devin had a past I didn’t know about.

I found some stuff and thanked them before I climbed down from the tree house. I ran through the forest and grinned when I saw Amber. She gave me a thumbs up saying that everything was in process. Suddenly a very angry Julian came out to the backyard covered in slime. It wasn’t part of the plan but Amber grinned proudly and I laughed. Julian snapped his eyes towards me and I just shrugged, it wasn’t me.

He shook his head and sighed; Devin came out and smirked at Julian.

A black car pulled up and parked in the driveway; the girl who was in the photos with Devin came out of the car and sprinted towards Devin. She flung her arms around him and placed her mouth over his. I stood their stunned and all revenge flew out of my head. Devin pulled away, breathless.

“Amelia, what are you doing here?”

She grinned up at him, “To be with you” she stated

He stared down at her for a second and as if it was an afterthought he said,

“I found my mate” she blinked at me and then he looked over at me.

She looked me up and down before shrugging as if to say you’ll feel better with me. Amber took a step forward but I shook my head at her. Devin still hadn’t let Amelia go and it shot straight through my heart, my wolf howled in sadness and gave Amber the pieces of paper and embarrassing photos that I had found.

“Do it for me will ya?”

Amber nodded and I walked inside the house, Julian followed but Devin was nowhere to be seen. Julian gave me an apologetic smile.

“I’m sorry about Devin but before he found you, he and Amelia were together. It was kind of a forbidden love since her parent’s didn’t approve and Amelia lost her mate. They stayed together through thick and thin but they were torn apart, I’m surprised she’s here”

They seemed more like mate’s then Devin and I.

I walked up to Devin’s room because he wanted me to be with him, he wanted to protect me but when I got their Amelia’s luggage was there, I sighed and took off my jacket and changing it with the hoddie that Devin gave me. I grabbed my iPod and earphones; I plugged in my earphones and put them into my ears before I turned on Fire, Fire by Flyleaf.  I walked downstairs to hear Amelia’s laughter. It was dinner time and people were crowded into the kitchen. I looked at the spot I usually sit, the spot next to Devin to see that Amelia was there, laughing and chatting with everyone. People glanced at me, seeing what I would do but I just shook my head and was about to walk away but Amber grabbed my hand.

“You can sit with me” I nodded and thanked her

I sat between her and her brother, he shot me a smile and grabbed my plate, piling food onto it. I thanked him and started to eat. Amber chatted endlessly and her brother-Ander joined in occasionally. He didn’t like how Devin was acting and felt sorry for me. I shook my head and said that I didn’t want his pity.

“Can I bunk with you tonight?” I asked Amber and she nodded,

“Sure, sleepover!” she cheered. I shook my head at her and smiled.

I looked at Devin to see him already looking at me and I smiled at him before I returned to my food, we felt like stranger’s more than mates.

When dinner finished I grabbed some clothes for tonight and tomorrow out of Devin and I’s room. Amelia entered and gave me a smile.

“You moving out?” she asked

“No, I’m just having a sleepover with Amber”

“Oh, that freak”

“She’s not a freak and is more of a person then you are” I growled

Devin entered and he eyed the clothes that were in my arms,

“Where are you going?” he asked,

“I’m just having a sleepover with Amber”

“Oh, okay, have fun”

I stared up with him before I looked away and bit my bottom lip,

“Oh, is that how it is” I muttered before I shoved my way out of his room and into Amber’s. I saw an extra bed set up and some movies with snacks. I dropped my clothes in a heap upon the ground. I fell to my knees and hugged myself as I started to cry. Amber rushed over to me and took me into her arms.

“I’ll kill him” Amber muttered and then Ander entered along with Julian. I forgot about our twin bond.

“This has gone on long enough” Julian said before he walked out and returned by dragging Devin through the door, Julian pushed him through the door.

“Look at what you have done; don’t you care about how she feels?” Julian asked and Devin stared at me shocked and that made me cry harder as I dug my head into Amber’s shoulder. She tightened her arms around me, rubbing my back.

“You should be ashamed Devin, your mate is the best thing that can happen to you and yet you replace her so easily. I would kill to have someone like Lillian and don’t forget she chose you”

Silence rang out in the air and I broke it but saying between sobs, “Don’t you l-love m-me anymore?”

“Oh Lillian” I heard Devin breathe out and then I was lifted up, spun around and crashed into Devin’s arms. I snuggled deeper into his arms.

“Come one”

“Na-ah!” Amber protested, “She promised me a sleepover” Amber put on her puppy dog face.

I sniffed and then smile at Devin. “I keep my promises”

He nodded and kissed my forehead.

“I know you do” he sighed, “I’m going to go kick Amelia out of my room, Julian will you help?”

Julian nodded and Devin pecked my cheek before he walked out of the door and then I saw Ander pouting when he saw the movies and snacks.

“Can I join?” he asked but Amber shook her head,

“No, girls only” and with that said she pushed him out the door and slammed the door in his face.

We got down to watching movies and eating snacks while talking about nothing and everything. I then just realised I had found out nothing about Tyler. Damn.
