The Day Has Come

Alas, the day has finally Come,
Red and green and white decor has hung,
Near the fireplace on the giant tree,
Which is circled by the hopes of light,
In this snowy, yet so christmasy night.

Below it were the presents kept,
With stockings gifted by the darling elf.
Slient music jingling in the air,
I dance moving my hips, relishing myself.

Ding, Ding, Ding, sang the door bell,
I opened the wooden door having a wreath,
I saw a few children with chattering teeth,
Standing in this winter night to sing the carols,
Hymning the song of 'Deck the halls'.

Looking outside, in the neighbourhood,
There in the snow they had a snowmen stood,
All the houses were shining with luminous light.
Leaving the stars invisible, reaching out of sight.

Coming back in, I could smell the fragrance
Of the scrumptious cookies made by my Mum,
And to garnish the gingerbread house is too much fun.
Later that evening we had a delicious feast,
With the fireplace warming our cold feet.

That's how you spend this glorious night,
With all the loved ones by your side.
All the joy and mirth, you should not miss this,
And have yourself a Merry little Christmas.
