Chapter 9; Flashbacks leads to love

After a few weeks of laying on the couch or in bed watching movies and eating junk food for most of those days as a couple, cuddled up on the couch.

But now it was time to get back to work as me and Mitch start training together to get back in the swing of things, as I grab the equipment out and set it up,

I smile as Mitch walks in with just his joggers on and he looks me up and down and smirks as im in a sports bra and leggings.

"Damn baby" he says and walks up to me and rests his hands on my waist and I wrap them around his neck and kiss him deeply and rub my fingers through the back of his head, gripping at the roots of his hair.

I pull away and smile, "come on we need to train" I say and pull the boxing gloves on and hand him the boxing pads.

I start punching the pads he's holding up and dodge when he tries to hit back, the flashbacks start to come back of what happened that night, the night our mission went wrong.

I get distracted by the flashback and he hits me in the stomach, expecting me to dodge it as I groan and hold my stomach, dropping to the floor.

"Oh my god, princess im sorry" he rushes and throws the pads from his hands and drops down beside me pulling me into his arms as tears trickle down my face like an ongoing waterfall.

"Everything from that mission keeps coming back" I cry into his chest as he runs his fingers through my hair and holds me against him.

"It's alright" he coos and kisses the top of my head, "everything's going to be okay" he relaxes me.

I smile as he holds me in his arms, protectively as I feel like I'm invincible with him. I've never felt like this before, whenever he smiles is brightens up my day, whenever he laughs it's like all the pain has washed away, whenever we kiss it's like the world is bursting with colour. He has helped me through things that are unimaginable in the time I've known him. He risked his life to save me. He's the one for me.

"Thank you Mitch" I whisper as I lay in his arms.

"It's my pleasure sweetheart" he smiles and tucks a strange of hair behind my ear.

I smile and look up at him as he runs his thumb over my cheek and smile as our lips lock in a passionate kiss.

The kiss deepens as I crawl up so I'm straddling his waist as we continue kissing and he picks me up and carries me to our shared bead and places me down. The rest of that night is history.

The next morning I wake up, cuddled into his side, both of us completely naked as I get up and pull one of his shirts on that covers down the mid thigh as I smile at him sleeping peacefully and I walk to the kitchen.

I make us some breakfast and carry his on a tray back to our room, "Mitch" I say and try to wake him up as he grumbles and I giggle.

"Babe I'm naked" I say and as soon as those words left my mouth his eyes open with a grin plastered on his face.

"Only Rapp would wake up to that" I chuckle as he hits up and I place the tray on his lap and he smiles, "thank you beautiful" he kisses my forehead.

I smile and walk back out to the kitchen, my eyes trailing to the unpacked training equipment that's still out.

I sigh slightly to myself, the flashbacks emotionally and mentally made me unstable from the mission, knowing I'll have to get back into it for Mitch and put it all past me to make him happy like he does for me.

I eat a bit of my breakfast and yawn as I make myself a glass of juice and check my phone as I see I have a message from Irene about the mission and how it starts tomorrow as we're travelling to Athens in Greece.

I shove my phone away and walk back into the bedroom and see him reading a message as he looks up at me, "are you sure you want to?" I ask.

I nod, "I'll be with you, it'll be fine" I smile and lay down next to him again as he nods, "if you start feeling unsure when we're in the hotel just stay in the hotel" he tells me as I nod.

"I know baby" I smile and kiss him, "thank you for understanding" I say as he kisses my forehead and I cuddle into him.
