The Final Battle

The gods prepped their battle weapons. After Athena had failed to return and the Olympians were unable to make contact for six days, Zeus declared war on The Flash, ignoring all reasoning.

"Are you all ready?" He asked gruffly. The Olympians nodded; they were all filled with a bit of fury at Athena's capture. With an explosion of golden light, all eleven gods vanished from the throne room and appeared on the roof of Star Labs- where Team Flash, the Green Arrow, and the Legends stood alongside Nico, Percy, Annabeth, Thalia, Will and Reyna. Their eyes shone like Imperius gold.

"Oh, Hades," muttered Hermes, gripping his caduceus tighter.

Oliver made the first move; he shot three celestial bronze arrows at Zeus. They embedded themselves in his chest. With a roar, Zeus ripped them out and glaree up at the vigilante with electricity sparking in his eyes. He thrust hus arm out, palm facing the sky, and a white streak of lightning tore from his hand into the Arrow's chest.

Oliver was blasted backwards, and tumbled off of the roof. The eidolon's control over Barry broke. His eyes deepened to brown, and he sped to where Oliver had fallen to see him hanging on to the lip of the building. His eyes were once again bright blue, and his arms were straining to hold him up. Together, they hoisted him up and over the ledge. Barry burned with fury at these stupid Greek gods, rushed at them.

"Barry, no!" Oliver called. Surely even the weakest of the Olympians could take Barry out with a flick of his hand, but Barry had unbridled rage at his disposal. The Flash crashed into Zeus, sending them both flying backwards. Barry punched Zeus across the face, and he responded by striking Barry with a jet of lightning so strong that it would have stopped his heart.

Barry was thrown into the air, while the possessed demigods watched him with expressionless faces. Something in Thalia's mind cleared; perhaps it was the sight of streams of electricity surging through the superhero's body, or perhaps it was just good timing. Either way, she realized the danger Barry was in, and, by instinct, summoned the winds to catch him. He gaped as he was set gently upon the concrete of the roof.

While the other Olympians stared in awe, Zeus looked at his daughter with  pride. Thalia was shaking. Percy started coughing, and, as everyone watched him, opened his eyes to reveal that they were the same sea green of his father. Like a wave, liberation rolled through those possessed by the eidolons. Annabeth collapsed, likely feeling the effects of her mother's absence from that Earth. Percy crouched next to her.

"Annabeth?" he said softly.

"Ouch," she replied. Will gave a strained laugh.

"Where is my daughter?" Zeus thundered. Cisco squared his shoulders.

"I think I have an idea."

Athena returned with matted hair and dirt on her body. As soon as she laid eyes on Barry, she slapped him across the face. He cringed and rubbed his cheek, but didn't say anything. He simply looked pleadingly at her. Athena raised her chin, like she understood his thoughts.

"Very well." she vanished. Apollo shot out of his chair.

"Mothertr-"

Athena reappeared with Iris on her left arm and Wally on her right. Both looked dazed, like the'd been asleep when she'd taken them.

"-ucker" Apollo finished, then blinked. "Oh. Never  mind, sorry, Will, just... forget this ever happened."

Will smiled at his dad with a sort of humored admiration.

"Iris..." Barry took a tentative step towards her, then rushed forwards and swept her into an embrace. Artemis tilted her head and smiled sympathetically when she saw that he was crying. They finally broke apart, and Barry looked to Athena.

"Thank you."

she nodded back, looking pleased. "Have a good life, Barry Allen."

And, as if it had been practiced, the Olympians disappeared in a shower of light.

Barry looked back to Iris. "I will."
