Percy
"Artemis?" I blurted. She nodded a confirmation. "What will happen?" She sighed and quietly muttered, "execution."She reached a hand out, and touched my forehead.
I saw Annabeth's eyes, filled with guilt, growing dark. My skull hit the floor with a sharp crack, and I heard a scream.
I blinked the spots of my vision, and smelled antiseptic. Panicking, I flailed around and fell off the cot. My head throbbed when I stood back up.
Iris! The whole team was gone, and I searched the lab. As I headed back to the cortex, I saw that Barry's suit was gone.
A whoosh of wind, and I was thrown on the ground. I grunted.
"Seriously? C'mon, dude, I just woke up." The person standing over me was in a yellow costume, with a lightning bolt and mask.
"Let me guess," I sighed. "You're not Zeus?" He looked confused, and loosened his grip ever so slightly.
"Who's Zeus?" I flipped him over and pressed my arm against his windpipe. "Who are you?"
"Kid Flash." "What is a Kid Flash? Like a mini Barry?" His eyes widened. "You know about Barry?"
Was he a good guy? I took the chance, and stood up.
"Yeah, the name's Percy Jackson. And you are?""Wally West."
"Ah, so you're Wally. Wait, did you say West?" "Yeah, why?"
I muttered a string of swear words in Latin. "Your sister, Iris... she's been kidnapped."
"What?" I've never heard so much guilt, anger, frustration, and sadness coming from one word. "Where is she?"
"The Empire State building, in New York." "Great, hop on." "Excuse me?" "Get on my back. We're going to New York."
"Yeah, how about no. Take me outside. Please." I added. Light flashes around, and I was standing under stormy clouds.
"Why are we out here?" I put up a hand and whistled. Wally cocked an eyebrow. About five minutes later, he'd gotten frustrated.
"Dude..." He trailed off as Blackjack galloped towards us. At least, that was how it looked to him. For me I saw a Pegasus flying through the air, landing gracefully in front of me.
I smiled, despite the situation. "Hello, Blackjack." Hey, boss. Just for the record, I'm not a big fan of flying from Statten Island to Central City, especially in this weather.
"I hear ya, buddy. Zeus is being a real grump today. Anyways, I need you to take me to Olympus. Wally here will follow on land."
Wally interrupted. "You do realise that I can run three thousand miles an hour, and he's a horse." I sighed, having forgotten about our little Mist problem.
Trying to access a little trick Hazel had taught me, I snapped my fingers in front of his face.
"What're you do-" His eyes widened as he registered Blackjack's wings.
