So it's Sunday and I have absolutely nothing to do yet again and I can't go to the library because I already went yesterday so I go to the park.
I'm in the park all by my lonesome self when I see an ice-cream truck. Score!!
I run towards it and when I get there I, like the mature person I am, wait in line.
After a long and I mean long time, I finally get my ice cream. It's butterscotch and I am very happy.
As I'm eating my tasty ice cream and finally feeling alright with the world someone rams into me and I drop my delicious ice cream.
"Oof!" I fall on my butt. I look up but the person's already disappeared. Really?
I mutter all sorts of curses under my breath while I try to stand up. I suddenly hear someone chuckling, I look up and guess who it is, no really guess, it's Kevin.
"Thank you so much for the help Kevin." I say and he tried to catch his breath because he's laughing so hard.
"I'm sorry are you alright?" He says coming and helping me up.
"Yes." I sigh. "What are you doing here?" I ask, "are you stalking me?"
"Haha very funny." He says dryly.
I stick my tongue out at him. "You want some ice cream?" I ask him, "I sort of owe you from yesterday."
"Why Scarlett, are you asking me out on a date?" Kevin teases and while he might be kidding I can't stop my cheeks from turning red. "But I'd love one."
After grabbing two ice creams from the same truck we walk ahead.
"You're fun Scarlett Everly." He says, "and I do enjoy our little run ins."
"You're not too bad yourself Waterson." He smiles his beautiful smile at me and I smile back as we sit on a bench at the park. A comfortable silence falls upon us.
Suddenly Kevin starts laughing.
"What?" I say .
"Remember the first time we talked?" I blush remembering how Kevin thought that he had made me cry.
I started giggling too though, come to think about it, it was funny.
"Why were you crying?" Jesus was he still thinking about that?
"I wasn't." I lie. "Scar, you and I both know I'm gonna keep asking you until you tell me." He says. "So you might as well tell me now."
I groan. "Fine, it's a little embarrassing." I admit.
"What is it? You can tell me." he gave me a small smile. "Did you kill someone?"
That makes me laugh.
"Yes." I say dead serious and he chuckles.
"Well it's stupid but I saw a couple outside the window and I got reminded of things that I didn't want to be reminded about. I was with this guy, he was everything I could hope for and he.." I could feel my heart slowly twisting.
God this happened a long time ago Scarlett get a grip.
"Hey it's okay." Kevin says. "You don't have to continue if you don't want to."
