"He's so adorable when he sleeps." Maddison said wiping tears from her eyes. "It won't be for that long" someone said "We will only be there for two months not the rest of his life."

"I know, I know but going away so suddenly, I think it might shock the family."

The voice sounded perplexed trying to reach the words at the tip of her tongue when it said “You mean it might shock him!" she said referring to the sleeping boy. "You still haven't told him right?"

Mason didn't know what it was that was being kept from him but he knew Maddison wanted to tell him something. At least once every week she walked up to Mason in private with a resolve to speak but his face of innocence and curiosity compelled her to stop as she then mumbles "I'll tell him later" under her breath.

Mason was awake and listening to this conversation between his older sister and a mysterious girl, taking as many peeks as possible. "No, I haven't but I'll tell him when I come back. I promise!" Maddison finally said with a false confidence on her moonlight casted face. "Speaking of which, I'm not waiting any longer. Are we going or not?"

The girl turned and said "Go ahead. I'll catch up." Maddison walks out the room and turns toward her room door on the wooden floorboards that to Mason surprise didn't make a peep. The mystery girl move closer to him and put her hand on his cheek and in a hushed voice said "Mason Virgil, you will know soon enough." Mason was extremely confused but more curious than ever.

His curiosity took over his logic and without thinking he took a peek and saw a mesmerizing sight. Two eyes, two magnificent eyes belonging to a figure. One of them a sea blue as the other was a marvelous jade green. The eyes got closer as the girl sat on the bed right next to him (apparently not afraid to wake him) and kissed Mason on the forehead.

"one day she'll tell you and when she does you will find a new...perspective. Heh irony!" she said. The girl got up and exited his room swiftly but ever so quietly. Mason was ridiculously confused and had an epiphany:

Should he confront Maddison and tell her that he knew about everything or wait it out till she comes back to see if she will talk to him about it. Mason thought that since she'll be gone for a couple months that he'll have time to think about it.

But, he didn't know that he was going to have more time to considering  this, he didn't know she was coming back a little late.
