This was the first time in a long time Mason Gaecz’e (Ga-Esse) wore a suit and tie. Mason always loved dressing up but couldn't find the time to. He and Maddison had fashion shows when he was younger even though his cousins and his uncle always made fun of him for it.

Mason grabbed the midnight silk strand and threw it around his neck, tied it and fixed his collar. Mason looked in the mirror, adjusted the tie and smiled but it was very forced.

“What in the hell is there for me to be happy about?” Mason thought, smile fading when he noticed his tie was still crooked. Mason saw Maddison reach for his tie and fix it.  Maddison hovered over him in the mirror and said “Today's the big day! Stand up straight and smile, be confident.”

Maddison turned him around and hugged him. “I love you, pup. Now go have fun, mom is waiting for you.” The room shifted and Mason saw his sister hugging a fourteen year old him.

“Haha, you're blushing!” Maddison blushed harder and punched him in the chest lightly and said “Get out of here before I hurt you.” Young Mason wearing his Robin Hood costume, laughed and ran out the room.

Mason collapsed and sobbed quietly, his heart decaying like a spring flower that hasn’t got water in years.

“KID GET THE HELL DOWN HERE!” Mason's uncle Richard shouted. Mason got up and wiped his tears.

“Now go have fun,” Mason remembered what she said and thought ‘Fun. Yeah, lets have fun now.’

Mason went down stairs and went through the door, ignoring what anyone in the way said and got in the black car that was outside. It was a beautiful sunny day but it wasn't supposed to be it should be raining today of all days.

Mason sat in the back of the car with his twelve year old niece, Mariya while his cousin Raymond sat in the front and Richard sat in the driver's seat. When he closed the door Uncle Richard said “ Next stop Freyard Graves for Maddie’s fune...” Uncle Ricky saw the anger on Mason's face and corrected himself saying “passing. Yeah, passing"
