Taehyung inhales deeply, and closes his eyes for a second. In the darkness of his own world, he decided to imagine the worst case scenarios that could possibly happen.
Well - Areum could reject him. Almost immediately, Taehyung snaps his eyes open and almost chokes on his own saliva at the possibility of Areum rejecting him.
"But, you only live once." This is something his bestfriend, Jimin, would say. But in all honesty, it wasn't that encouraging to hear that. But of course, Taehyung knew for a fact that he would regret it for days if he didn't pop the question now.
So, he picks up his phone from the table and with shaking hands, he manages to type out a sentence. He didn't want to waste any more time hesitating and immediately presses the "send" button.
TAEHYUNG: hey! are you doing anything on christmas?
He was still shaking, waiting anxiously for her reply. Then, he realised, the question he asked was really stupid. Of course she would be busy on Christmas! It would be ridiculous if a pretty girl like her had nothing to do on Christmas.
AREUM: hey taehyung! i'm spending it with my family before i head out to celebrate w one of my guy friends, would you like to come along?
Upon reading her message, Taehyung didn't really know how to react. Should he be happy that Areum invited him out? But if he didn't agree to her invitation, it would mean that Areum would be alone with some "guy friend" on Christmas.
TAEHYUNG: Are you sure that that would be okay with your friend?
AREUM: oyeah! that's totally cool, we always spend christmas with only the two of us. it would be fun for you to join us :)
Taehyung furrows his eyebrows, this friend of Areum have been spending Christmas with her every year? What's up with that?
TAEHYUNG: Alright, sure, I'll be there. Hope he doesn't bite.
AREUM: don't worry about that! he's extremely friendly. here, look.
