Allison POV

“M-Mom, you’re here?” she was standing right in front of me, this can’t be happening.  “You’re dreaming sweetheart.” She said, her voice sounding the exact way I remembered it.

“So you’re not real?”

“Of course I’m real, anyways I came to warn you , I don’t have much time.  You and Emily are in danger Rus and Jenni aren’t who you think they are.  David will explain all these feelings you are having towards him in due time and I’m asking you to trust him because he is the only one who can keep you safe.

“How did you know about all of that, I thought you were dead, why did you leave me with those monsters, why mommy?”

“Oh, sweety I am dead but you’ll learn the truth soon enough, I have to go now but you remember what I said and Alison” she paused “I’ll always be with you, I love you.” With those last words she faded into the background “Wait, mom what about dad?” I ran to where she was standing and then I realized I was alone.

My eyes fluttered open and I gasped, where am I?  It looked like a small doctors office with 3 other beds like the one I’m in, one on side of me and the other two parallel.  The lights were dim, I’m guessing cause I was sleeping.

Then it all came back to me.  The cafeteria, the locker room, David holding me, the little sparks surging through my skin, everything.  I shuddered at the thought of breaking down in front of him.

What time is it?  I searched the walls for a clock and the one on the other side of the room read 7:52 PM. Holy crap, Jenni and Rus are going to kill me, but most importantly what happened to Emily?  Oh god, I didn’t get her off the buss so that means that they did. Oh shit, I have to get out of here!  I doubt that David will let me walk out of here.

Looked around the room for an escape.  My eyes traveled across a window.  Bingo.

I ripped of the blankets and looked around for my shoes.  I found then in a basket underneath the bed and put them on.  The window just so happened to be unlocked so I climbed out and stood on the black shingles. When I was out I closed the window so there was no indication of how I managed to escape.  I was up two stories meaning I have to jump down.

I walked to the ledge so I could see if anyone was around.  When I knew the coast was clear I squatted close to the edge and swung my feet over the side and slowly kept going lower and lower till my hands were holding on the gutter and it was times like these that I’m thankful for not weighing much.  “Okay” I told myself, “On Three.”

One.  Two…. Three.  I dropped down pain rushing through my ankle.  I clapped my hand over my mouth to muffle my scream.  I scanned the area for people, tears threatening to fall from my eyes.   It was all clear so I kept moving into the forest that trailed on side of the street.   I don’t know what it was but my instincts told me to go left so I limped as fast as I could until I finally saw a few familiar houses and realized that I was in my neighborhood.

I was only a couple of blocks away from my street so even though my body told me to stop the only thing I could think of was Emily and what could be happening to her.

I finally made it to my house.  The adrenalin rush I was on seemed to be fading as fear settled in, both of their cars were home.  This couldn’t be good.

I approached the front door quietly so not even a creek could let them know of my presences.  I need to come up with a plan.

Okay think. If I can find out where they are in the house I can avoid them and get Emily and get out to somewhere safe.  Emily is probably in her room and the stairs are right inside by the door so if I can get to the stairs I should be fine, unless they are up there.  Then I’m screwed.
