7. Katelyn and Kai's Story

Ding Dong.

I skipped to the door upon hearing the doorbell. Aaron immediately tackled me and we both fell to the floor, laughing uncontrollably.

"Shh, my dad." I warned, pointing upstairs where my dad was.

"Fuck him!" Aaron shouted rebelliously. He ran his fingers through my hair and down my body lovingly.

"I still can't believe you're mine now..."

My heart melted when he said that. I never thought this day would come, where someone would truly love me and care for me. I felt butterflies in my stomach whenever I think about Aaron.

Aaron kissed me and I kissed back, wrapping my legs around his torso. He kissed my neck and left a love mark which I gave him a glare for. He grinned sheepishly causing my lips to curl into a smile.

"Let's go to my place." Aaron lifted me up and I instinctively put my arms around his neck. He carried me into his house and let me down on his bed.

"Summer break is gonna be over in a week!" I pouted.

"It's your last year in school! Just one more year and it's all over! You can do it!"

"Thanks." I murmured, thinking back to the bullies I have to face.

"I'm gonna get a job as a teacher!" Aaron exclaimed, interrupting my thoughts.

"Cool!"

"I'll be teaching Science which means you can ask me for help with homework!"

I was about to reply with a 'that'll be great' when the doorbell rang.

Aaron slid his arm around my waist and we walked together to open the door.

"Katelyn?"

Katelyn stood at the door with a boquet of roses in her hand and a huge smile on her face. She waved at us and stepped to the side, revealing another person. I sort of recognised him from school.

"I'm Travis, Katelyn's boyfriend!"

That's right, Travis. He's one of the jocks and has a fair amount of popularity. What a great match for Katelyn.

Aaron and I invited them in. Katelyn and I went into the master bedroom while the boys sat on the couch.

"How did you know I'm here?"

"Your dad told me you were gonna be here." Katelyn replied.

"My dad?" I said. Why would my dad tell Katelyn I'm here?

"Anyway, you two are like the perfect match!" Katelyn squealed, handing me the roses.

"Thank you but I wanna ask something."

"Shoot."

"What happened to Kai?"

For a moment, I saw sorrow in her eyes before it returned to normal.

"Nothing! It was just not working out!"

"Don't lie to me, Kate."

Katelyn sighed. Tears started to form in her bright blue eyes.

"Aw, tell me what's wrong..." I said softly, pulling her into a hug.

"I've never told you this but Kai. He rapes me." Katelyn said, in between sobs.

"HE DID WHAT?" I yelled, "Why didn't you tell me earlier? I could've helped you!"

Footsteps could be heard and soon, the boys entered the room, their eyebrows furrowed.

"What's wrong? We heard yelling." Aaron asked.

"Travis, did you know about Kai?" I asked coldly.

"Yeah..."  Travis mumbled.

"For the love of Irene! Go report it to the police!" I shouted.

"We wanted to wait until he completed his education!" Travis shouted back.

"Why are you guys being so nice?"

Travis fell quiet and just stared at the floor. He bit his nails as he thought of an answer.

"What happened?" Aaron asked worriedly.

"Katelyn's ex-boyfriend used to rape her!" I replied.

Aaron was equally shocked as I was.

"Aph, we will get justice soon. Please just let it go for now." Katelyn pleaded.

I thought about it for awhile. I guess it's their choice after all.

"Fine."

Katelyn smiled and hugged me again.

"Thank you so much!"

"No problem."
