* Doctors POV *

But this one was a miracle, this guy was strong. This was a blessing from god, this guy has a reason to be here.

I smiled and walked out the doors to the waiting room, a huge smile on my face.

"Joseph Birlem!" I called out, I saw people walking up to me.

"How's my son?! Is he alright!? Is he a-alive?!"

"Ma'am, relax. Your son is fine, he's in the ICU right now. His vitals are stable, their was a complication with the surgery tho. We had lost him for 5 minutes but got him back, and to say this has to be a miracle bc your son should've been dead but I'm telling you. That guy in their, deserves so much respect right now it's incredible." I said

* Y/n POV *

I smiled, "Is it possible to see him?" I asked. "Not yet, he's still recovering from the surgery. I'd say in about 3 hours you can see him." Said the doctor.

We thanked him and walked out, Loren texted me saying the enterprises was packed with cops.

Lexi was behind all of this along with my ex Tyler Brown, but the good thing is now they're in jail and are being sentenced to a death penalty.

They also found the shooter, apparently he was 'forced' to do all this but in reality Tyler and Lexi both paid him 15 thousand to kill me.

Bella and her parents went to the enterprises to check on everything with cops, I left to the apartment to take a shower and clean up.

When I undressed myself, looking at myself in the mirror. All the blood just drenched over me made me drench into tears.

What if Joey actually died tho? What if I never applied for this job? What if I was never born?

Everything would be different? Right? But I can't change anything, Joey's alive, I did apply for the job, and sadly. I was born.

I changed into some sweatpants and a comfy sweatshirt, I slipped on my sandals and headed back to the hospital.

Once I reached the hospital I thanked the uber guy and walked inside, I gave the lady my name and she lead me to the ICU.

"Can I have a minute, before I walk in there" I held her hand back, "Sure hon, his room is right down there to your left" she smiled.

I nodded and took a breath, and then walked down the hallway. I made the left turn she told me and there he was.

Asleep, he looked so peaceful. I walked in and grabbed a chair, sitting next to him.

I just broke into tears, I couldn't contain them. "Why would he wanna do this for me" I cried,

"Because I love you"
