~ 13 Years Later ~

• Makayla's P.O.V •

"Bye Auntie Jas, tell Dad and Uncle Mark I said bye too."

"Okay hunny, have a great birthday boo and, we're going to visit the grave after school today, you can come if you'd like."

"I probably will." she nods and I head out.

I'm Makayla Carter, and I'm thirteen years old. You already know that, though. I'm a spitting image of my mama, people tell me all the time. I never seen her, but from pictures she looks gorgeous. She died shortly after giving birth to me, my family has gone through the story so many times, I know it by heart. I miss her everyday, even though I will never meet her, I can only image how great of a mother she'd be. Dad tells me all the time she loves me, but I just wish I could see her for myself.

My family definentley helps out a lot, we're a pretty big family. Aunt Jasmine and Uncle Mark, have no kids, Auntie can't have any. Uncle Chris and Aunt Niesha have a eleven year old boy, Chris Jr (CJ). Aunt Domonique and Uncle Jermaine have two twins Jerome and Diamond, they're one day older than me. Uncle Darius and Aunt Alexis have a fourteen year old son, Darius Jr (DJ). Then theres just Uncle Romie, he's the lonely one of the family. I love everyone of them, we're all so close.

As I leave for school, I go through all the pictures I took and post a cute selfie on instagram.

I'm pretty famous on instagram and any social network because of my family, my uncles were in a legendary gang and now they all run the same business; that's doing extremely successful. They're all in their thirties and rich as hell.

"SHAWTYYY!" I hear someone scream, only to turn around and find Diamond and Jerome coming towards me.

"Hey y'all," I smile and wave, hugging them.

"You're THIRTEEN!"

"I know! Damn girl, you more hype then me." we laugh.

"Can y'all shutup? Girls just be so over-dramatic." Jerome complains.

"Boy bye, I'll step on ya shoes."

"I'll step on yours too nigga!"

Everyone in our family has shoe game and dress game, it's a must. Today I had on black leather joggers, a black tupac "it aint easy" shirt, low concords, and a red flannel wrapped around my waist. This was a normal everyday outfit for me. I have so many clothes it's crazy. Daddy spoils me.

"Oh look, theres DJ."

"Hey DJ!"

"Finally another boy." Jerome mumbles, Diamond hits him.

"Happy Birthday Kay." He smiles and pulls me in for a hug.

"Thank you, Dee."

Out of all of my cousins, I'm closest with Diamond and DJ probably. They really helped me a lot through everything with my mom, it's been hard, but we make it work.
