Elli's Pov

I definitely had bigger this to worry about.

Everyone, and I mean everyone, on the Quidditch team came to talk to me about why I left. Most of them I just shrugged off and walked past them. But there was only one person that didn't let me walk away.

"Erik, please," I said. "I don't have to explain to you." I pushed past him.

"Yes you do," said Erik, catching up with me. "Because you quit, I have to start training with someone else and the season is half over!"

"I did not quit," I said.

"Call it whatever you please, but you left and now I have to play with someone worse than you," said Erik. "And I couldn't believe that actually they found someone worse than you."

I stopped and Erik bumped into me.

        "What-"

I turned on my heels and looked straight into his green eyes.

        "Worse than me?" I asked.

        "No Elli, I didn't-"

"Save it," I said. "You were probably so happy when I left."

"No I wasn't," said Erik. "If I was, then why would I be asking why you quit?"

"I do not know!" I yelled, throwing my hand up in the air in frustration. "To say thank-you. Thank-you for quitting the team, so Ravenclaw can win the cup. We are so much better without you!"

"You said you didn't quit," Erik said smiling.

I rolled my eyes at him and started walking away, done with the conversation.

        "Elli, wait," said Erik.

        "What?"

"I'm sorry," said Erik. "I didn't mean to upset you."

        "I'm not upset."

"It's just," Erik began. "The team needs you. I need you."

"I'm not coming back," I said, walking away. "And you don't need me, the team is fine without me."

I kept walking and thankfully Erik didn't try and stop me.

I glanced at my watch. Dammit. I was 10 minutes late for Potions class. I slung my bag over my shoulders and hurried to the dungeon were the class were being held.

I quietly came in and sat beside Gracie. The whole class was talking notes and my Dad didn't even look up.

"Why are you late?" whispered Gracie.

"I was talking to Erik," I whispered. I pulled out a piece of parchment and started taking notes. "He is pretty pissed that I quit the Quidditch team."

"Yeah, why did you quit?" asked Gracie.

"Miss. Jones, no talking! Write your notes!" yelled my Dad.

Gracie and I quickly put our heads down and started writing. Gracie bumped me on my elbow  and slide me a folded piece of parchment across the desk.

It read: Talk later?, in Gracie's handwriting.

I nodded and got back to writing. after about 5 minutes of writing, my Dad stood up and came over to my desk.
