**Melissa's POV**
"So how was school honey" mother asked.
"It was fine" I struggle to say.
"Any new friends?" my mom excitingly asked.
At this point I'm pissed off and don't feel like talking anymore. "No mom it's just the first day okay. No one ever likes the new girl. Can you just leave me alone?" I sourly screamed locking myself in my room to cry.
I turn up my music so she won't hear my sniffles and start cleaning my room. I don't know what it is I'm probably OCD but cleaning my room and decorating it makes me feel so much better. After 3 hours of listening to the radio I shut it off.
"They always play the same shit" I angrily say kicking my soccer ball up in the air.
"Maybe I should try out for the soccer team" I realize it would easier to make friends if I belong to a group.
"Melissa honey please open up" a voice deep speaks up.
Out of shock I immediately open the door and find daddy standing there.
"Dad!! Omg it's been so long I've missed you. I can't believe you're here why did no one tell me you were coming!?!" I hugged him tighter than life itself.
"Well someone locked themselves in their room and blasted the music so hard u never herd us moaning" my mother said from behind.
"Gross!!!" I gagged. "Oh my god you brought Emily!!" I say motioning her to walk my way. This day just got a little better.
"Well I'll just leave you and Em' together. Me and you're mom need to talk" Dad said patting me on the head knowing I hate when he does that, I kick him and close the door.
I stare at Emily knowing she's truly my only friend I had and I'm her's. I glance at the mirror.
"I need to change the way I look if I want to fit in" I think.
