episode two, three, and four were wrapped up by the end of the month. the few parts we had to film some other place besides georgia were on hold until september. finn and i hadn't gotten enough spare time to go to the fair yet, but he had told me to keep this friday free.
i had already gone for my audition for every day, which finn and em helped me practice for. they told me they'd call me sometime this week, which i was still waiting for the call.
today was friday, and millie, sadie, emily and i had a sleepover the night before.
"so that's what you guys said in french!" millie squealed.
"why didn't you tell us until now?" emily asked.
"filming would be awkward," i shrugged. finn told me he wanted to keep it a secret, but the girls kept asking where i was going, and i needed help choosing an outfit.
"i can't believe it's almost september," sadie sighed.
"when does school start for you guys?" em asked us.
"my dad said i'm home schooled now," i told them. my mom and dad knew i'd be up for a lot of traveling, especially if i got the part in the new movie.
"i'm homeschooled too," millie agreed.
"yeah, me too," sadie added.
"really! same!" emily smiled.
finn told me his dad was leaving his house at one, and it was eleven thirty. they helped me decide what to wear, choosing jean shorts and a white t-shirt with a small rose in the middle. millie insisted on doing my makeup, and so she did. just as i threw on my converse, finn's dad beeped. i squealed and jumped up.
"holy cheese," i muttered, receiving a laugh from the girls.
"have fun!" em smiled.
"no kissing!" sadie warned.
"no way!" i shook my head, opening emily's front door. i smiled at finn who had the window rolled down. he opened the door and i got in.
"it's your uber," finn's dad smiled. "better get five stars."
"always," i laughed at finn's annoyed facial expression. the ride was filled with old songs played by finn's cool ass dad and us singing loudly. he dropped us off and waved goodbye.
"ten out of ten uber driver," i teased finn.
"painful," he rolled his eyes, handing the lady in the ticket booth a twenty. "two, please."
"no! i can pay for myself!" i threw a ten in his hand.
"it's a date, ar." he handed me back my ten and walked into the fair.
"you're really not good at this date thing," he told me.
"this is my first date, you know."
"well me too," he agreed. "i'm better."
"yeah we'll see," i teased. "look!" i pointed to a clown. "pennywise?"
"oh my god, shut up!" he smiled, rolling his eyes. i grabbed his hand, pulling him over to the clown.
"do you know a clown named pennywise?" i asked the man, who was standing next to the cotton candy cart.
"sorry i don't," the clown said, nonchalantly. obviously he didn't like his job. i shook my head and finn pulled me away.
"i hate you, you know that right?" finn joked, showing off his amazing smile.
"mhm," i hummed, walking over to the funhouse.
