It was now time for Chemistry and Roslyn went looking for the class room. Room two thirteen. A Mr. Fields. She was getting closer when she heard her name being called.

"Hey," Angela Webber stopped before her. "What class are you headed to now?"

"Chemistry with a Mr. Fields."

"So do I. Want to walk with me?" she asked.

Roslyn smiled. "That would be great. Thank you."

Angela nodded and smiled. "No problem," she took Roslyn's arm and they started walking. "So, I have to ask."

It didn't take a rocket scientist to know what she wanted to know. Ever since lunch, students have not stopped talking g about her sitting with the infamous CullenHale students.

"You want to know about my experience with the CullenHale students." Roslyn stated.

Angela turned red in the face. "I'm not usually one to be nosy, it's just - Bella has been the only one to actually form a friendship with them and that took months," she said softly. "And yet, after only being here at Forks for less than five hours, you're sitting at lunch with them. That's a world record, one I don't think anyone will ever beat."

Roslyn chuckled. "It was an interesting experience. Alice was the one who spoke to me the most. She's a very curious young woman," she said. "But very kind."

Angela nodded. "You weren't, you know, nervous about being around them?"

Roslyn raises a curious brow. "What's there to be nervous about?" she questioned.

Angela rubbed her arm. "I don't mean to sound like every other judgemental teen here but," Angela took a big breath. "The Cullen's aren't really social people. They keep to themselves which gives off this semi-weird vibe that tell you to stay away."

Roslyn nodded. "Understand but the Cullen Hale Family aren't as scary as most have come to believe. They're just as everyone else is," she said softly. "They're human. And just like many others, they like their space from others. It doesn't make them any different from everyone else."

Angela smiled at her. "Wow. I have to admit that I've never thought about it like that."

Roslyn smiled. "Most people don't but that's the beauty in learning new things and discovering them."

Angela reached up and rubbed Roslyn's arm. "Your amazing. Not only are you beautiful but you're smart, kind, understanding, patient and selfless," she said softly. "You are going to make the best wife and mother."

Roslyn chuckled. "Uh, thanks?"

"I'm sorry. I know I kind of jumped the gun there but, Roslyn, you're perfect. You're everything women want to be and men want," Angela stated. "You're the perfect woman."

Roslyn shook her head and frowned. "I m not perfect, Angela, far from it. What you see, what you've witnessed, is the aftermath of a young woman who's been hurt, and mentally scarred, and who's refused to be a victim to anything and anyone."

Angela stared at her with tears in her eyes. She could never imagine that someone would want, or could bring themselves, to hurt Roslyn. She was just so kind and sweet and well spoken and understanding and smart. Who would want to hurt Roslyn? Who could hurt Roslyn?

Roslyn noticed the look on Angela's face and sighed. She turned to her newly found d friend and took her hands in her own. "Do not feel sorry for me. Do not let the reality of my past judge my future because I will be fine. I am no longer in that situation but I am safe. I am where I want to be and should be and I am happy."

Angela wiped at the tears that threatened to fall. "Are you sure?"

Roslyn nodded. "I'm sure."

|After School|

Roslyn always loved nature. She was never given enough time to be surrounded fed by it back where she was from but now that it was all one could see in Forks, she had all the time she needed.

She was walking up to a creek when she suddenly got the feeling that she should leave, that it wasn't safe to be out with it getting dark.

Go home. Now. It's not safe. You should get home to those who love and care for you. Go. Home.

Never one to ignore the feelings she always got, Roslyn turned and started her leave to head back home. She hadn't been walking for even five minutes before she started hearing the sound of breaking twigs and dead leaves being stepped on.

But that didn't stop her. She continued to walk all the while paying as close attention to her surroundings as she possibly could.

"Why is such a beautiful creature, like yourself, out in the woods so late?" questioned a voice. "Don't you know how dangerous it is to be out here, alone."

Roslyn kept walking. "I could ask you the same question." she said.

The voice laughed. "I have nothing to worry about. I'm not the one who can be broken at the snap of a finger."

Roslyn stopped in her tracks and looked around the darkening woods. Even though it was getting dark, she could still see all through the woods as if we're still daylight out. And for some reason, she was not afraid.

"Are you going to continue to stay hidden or are you going to reveal yourself?" she questioned outlays as she looked around for the direction his voice was coming.

The voice laughed. "I guess there's no use in hiding anymore. You've already heard the sound of my voice." it sounded, suddenly behind her.

Roslyn quickly, yet calmly, turned around and came face to face with a very attractive man. He had pale skin, short dirt blond hair, and the brightest red eyes, the only red eyes, she'd ever seen. But he was beautiful. Beautiful in a way she'd never seen before. Well, except for the Cullen Hale Family, but still very beautiful.

Danger! Dangerous! Get away! Protect yourself!

The feeling in her stomach wouldn't go away. She knew the moment she looked at him that he was no good, that he was a threat, but she also had the feeling that no matter how fast she ran, or how far she got, it wouldn't be fast or far enough.

"Wow. You're even more beautiful, and smell eve more mouthwatering," he stepped closer and leaned in towards her neck. "Up close and in person."

Roslyn stood her ground. "What do you want?"

He smiled. "Haven't you guessed yet?"

Roslyn held his gaze and just like the feeling she got from the Cullen's, she got from him except with the Cullen's it wasn't a feeling of danger and or dread. She didn't get the feeling that they were a threat to her life. But she did get the feeling that they, like the man before her, were something far from the definition of normal.

"I know who you are." she said.

The red eyed man stepped closer, a sinister smile spread across his lips. "Oh yeah? Who am I then?"

Roslyn swallowed and held his gaze. She wasn't afraid of the man before her and she won't pretend to be just to entertain him. She could tell he wanted her to be very afraid of him but she could be. She couldn't pretend to fear someone she didn't fear.

"You're a vampire."
