Gumi had been researching the legend for three years and had been obsessed with the stories since childhood.
She knew a lot about the prince and the warrior, she had dug up information that many had thought to be destroyed.
The truth was that information was never truly gone, there was always information somewhere. Paintings done by siblings of related parties, documents that had been protected, stories that had been passed down.
It had taken her years to be able to find an image of the warrior, after digging up enough on the prince she was starting to worry that his lover was simply a fictional character that had been developed in the minds of writers.
Then one day she found a picture, a painting done after the supposed deaths of the two men, an incredibly detailed painting of a handsome man with long purple locks and shining blue eyes, a cold expression on his face, he looked so sad.
A few days ago Gumi had been shown a music video, in the music video was a man in a beautiful early 18th century nobleman's outfit, his shining purple hair tied back and falling down his back, he wore a silky black cape and wore a mask during the theatrical parts of the video.
When he was shown with the band his mask was removed and Gumi was immediately caught off guard, it was him!
The warrior, it was his exact double.
She had done research on the man and his band and had found his base town, it happened to be where the warrior had once lived and the coincidence was too much for Gumi to handle.
She had to meet him, this was an incredible discovery, she wanted to rub it in the faces of the people in her college who refused to believe in the existence of the historical figures.
She had gone so far as to purchase a ticket to see his band, she wasn't a huge fan of his music but she'd do anything to be able to interview him, she needed to find out something.

Kaito was sat at the bar in the venue, resting his arm against the bar as he watched his boyfriend set up the band's equipment on the stage.
"Where's Yuma?" Gakupo asked through the microphone and Kaito shook his head in response.
"I'm going to kick his ass if I have to set up his shit too" came Gakupo's response.
Kaito laughed as he leaned back, watching the fans who had VIP access to the gig, many of them seeming to think that Kaito was simply a friend of the band.
Gakupo was kneeling in front of a microphone stand, adjusting it as Yuma stepped into the room towards the stage. The band was well known enough to have roadies but as this was a small local gig they decided to set everything up themselves.
"Miss me, babe?" Yuma asked as he stroked Gakupo's hair earning an excited squeal from some of the VIP ticket holding girls.
Kaito chuckled into his drink when Gakupo flipped Yuma off in return, telling the guitar player where he could shove his peddles.
"Hey, Gakupo!" he heard one of the fans call as Gakupo moved away from the stage, finishing off his work for the setup.
"I heard that song you sang with your friend, it was so beautiful" the fan let out, her voice falling into a dreamy tone as she stared up at the tall rocker, no doubt imagining a handsome mystery man clinging to his arm.
"Thank you, I'll let him know that you enjoyed the song" Gakupo said, flashing his "lady-killer smile" as Al called it.
"Who is the guy anyway?" the girl continued.
Gakupo cast a subtle glance towards Kaito before looking back towards the girl, he could tell that Kaito didn't want his name out there yet, he didn't want to be found out by anyone, even if it was only one fan.
They knew how it worked, one fan found something out then two knew and then four and then everyone knew.
"I'm afraid I can't reveal his name, he has a different job and isn't interested in getting attention from the music scene, not yet anyway"
"But that song, didn't he write it?"
"Yeah, it was just something he wanted to try out"
The girl nodded before asking for a photo which Gakupo allowed, draping his arm around her shoulder and directing his heart stopping smirk towards the camera. When the photo was taken Gakupo waved the girl off as she thanked him and he walked towards the bar, slumping beside his boyfriend.
"Your song has fans" Gakupo whispered.
"I heard" Kaito smiled. "What's the set list for tonight anyway?"
Gakupo lifted his head, tapping his chin as he tried to remember the set list.
"Le Rouge Est Amour, Red and Black, Brilliant Snow, Mad Hatter, Prince of Necrophilia..."
Kaito shuddered at that last one, shaking his head as he laughed awkwardly, that song made him kind of uncomfortable, he knew that it was only a song, a dark and horrible fable based on the story of Snow White but it was still kind of creepy to him.
He had to give that song some praise though.
"You sound really sexy when you sing that one"
"I've been told," Gakupo laughed. "Apparently the more messed up ones are the sexier ones"
"It's a disturbing truth"
Gakupo rolled his shoulders then and pondered for a moment, trying to remember what else was on the list and then clicked his fingers.
"Oh yeah! We're doing a cover of one of your songs for Len, Paradichlorobenzene"
Kaito burst into laughter at the very idea of that "Paradichlorobenzene? I mean, Len's pretty good with the pace but...really?"
"Hey, I can sing fast" Gakupo laughed. "Just listen, I really like that song"
He then jumped up as the room began to darken, he was getting ready to perform and so Kaito moved away from the bar to sit closer to the stage.
More fans began to filter inside. A group of girls, a handful of boys and there was also one green haired woman who looked a little out of place, Kaito didn't pay her much attention, not even when she started snapping pictures on her phone of Gakupo exclusively. Must but one of Gakupo's fangirls.
