Truth is that to us life has been unfair
To me in particular
Because with such beauty for a shield
Are you capable of hurting?
But alas! My poor heart
Such an illbeffiting fate it found
The stars look at me with a frown
For what I want, I simply cannot have
However, that my spirits does not dull
If I cannot have you in this life
I will wait for you in the next
My ill fate cannot possibly follow me past death
I will wear my soles in heaven
Looking for you on your celestial throne reclaimed
Or perchance should we reincarnate
You a rose in a flowerbed
And I a bee, in fact even if I was a hornet
I wager I would never see any petals as beautiful
Or sipped nectar as attractive
And I would move garden to garden, continent to continent
Looking for my petaled beloved
But be it there is no life after death
Then let me make you immortal with a pen
So that for centuries it is said
Such a love will never be seen again
As of Shemei and his beloved.
