Chapter 03

I released a huff of completion as I boxed up the last box that contained my belongings. I had used my powers to pack all of my clothes and other belongings, but I just wanted to pack the last few stuff manually. I sat down beside the box and looked around my now bare to a minimum room, with the exception of the bed and the furniture and some of my clothes for when I would visit home. I guess, this is really happening, then, I thought.

It's been a week since Papa dropped the bomb that I had to attend the Academy. It was called the Knight Wolves Academy. I chuckled to myself when I imagined literal wolves wearing the amours and whatnots like those in the medieval times, preparing for an upcoming battle.

"What's so funny," a voice asked from my room door. I turned my head so fast that I almost got a whiplash in doing so. I did not hear any footsteps, thus, my surprised state. I must had been too deep into my thinking of knightly wolves that I was not paying attention to my surroundings. I let out another chuckle as I thought of it again before answering the awaiting person by my bedroom door.

"Oh nothing, Jake. I was just thinking of our Academy's name, and was imagining its literal image."

At that, Jake let out a soft laugh of his own. "Yeah... I see you're all packed up. We still have about two hours before we are scheduled to leave," Jake replied.

"Yup," I said while I popped the 'p.' "I'm all set. I want to visit the last place I saw Kai-Ren before leaving, though," I stated.

Jake nodded, "Want me to come along?"

"Nah, it's fine. Thanks, Jake. I'll just leave our mind link open, just in case, nonetheless," I said and went to give Jake a hug before proceeding out of the house to head to where Kai-Ren just disappeared suddenly about three months back.

Every mind link worked in a similar manner. Everyone whose minds were linked to yours could hear your every thought and vice versa. It was only when you put up a mental wall then you would be able to keep others away from your every thought, and would only let others hear what you project. My unique mind link with Jake worked the same like a typical Pack mind link, though; ours was somewhat stronger, in a sense. As we could feel the emotions of one another when we communicate through our mind link, unlike the normal Pack mind links, where one can only get the thoughts and images, and not the emotions of one another. The only person whom I know could bypass anybody's mind wall was my twin, Kai-Ren, since he was gifted with the ability of mind reading. This enabled him to bypass any mind barriers that one puts easily, no matter how strong it is without even leaving a trace of him having peeked through one's mind. A rather strong gift.

My feet brought me directly to the spot where Papa cushioned Kai-Ren's head and where I held his hand tightly. The last spot where I last saw my twin brother in the flesh. I sat down on the floor, and patted the ground where Kai-Ren's body was last seen.

I started talking aloud while leaving the mind link the two of us twins shared open so that he could hear my every thought during that moment, wherever her is.

"Hey bro. How're you doing? I hope you're doing well wherever you are. Anyway, recently the Supernatural Council had released a law imposing on many youngsters that we are to attend an Academy of our own kind to build up our knowledge of the Supernatural world, train ourselves and also learn the normal human academics. This is due to the rising number of different species rouge roaming around. I'll be attending an Academy. It's called Knight Wolves Academy. That's really ironic, huh? I mean we did have our GEDs already. Hell, we even got our Degrees! I wonder what Papa sent them regarding my Academic aspect," I took a slight pause before I continued on my rambling.
