I fell asleep most of the ride to the palace. Sir Liam woke me up when we finally arrived and told me to look more presentable, for I will be meeting the King and Queen along with the prince.
Once we arrived I fixed my hair and patted my dress. Sir Liam told me I looked fine and presentable, so once I got down from the carriage, I saw the beautiful family in front with smiles on their faces, except for what seems to be the prince.
I walk to them and curtseyed before them, but still kept my head bowed and stared at the ground. I don't want to face someone who might not like me.
"You must be Isabella Collins dear," The King spoke, "I know this is all so sudden but we welcome you to your new home. Don't be afraid to ask any questions."
I finally looked up and smiled at the king before saying, "I thank you for offering your home and everything my king and queen. I hope not to be a burden to the royal family. This is all so sudden, I apologize in advance for any mistakes I may cause."
"No need to be sorry dear, we understand. And don't worry, you are not a burden to the royal family. You are now considered family. Now Harry lead Miss Collins to her quarters, so she may be rested and to get ready for dinner." The King once again spoke.
I look to this "Harry" and realized that he was talking to the prince. I just curtseyed before the King and Queen and followed the very tall Prince to my soon to be room. We both walked in silence and arrived in front of a huge door. I looked to him but he had no expression on his face. "This is your room, mine's down the hall." I nodded and curtseyed and went to open the door before he grabbed my wrist.
"Wait. Listen here little girl, I don't want you to get any ideas that I will like you nor love you just because you're becoming my wife. Fairytales don't exist and I don't want you to follow me like a sad puppy. Just leave me alone, and do whatever is told." He said sternly, before letting his hard grip on my wrist go. I held my tears in before nodding and turned to open the door again and walk in, slowly closing the door with now tears streaming down my face.
I then looked around the room and saw how beautiful it was with a mix of the colors baby pink, beige and gold. I walked around and found another door, only to open it to a beautiful bathroom. Everything was just so extravagant that I just need time in taking it all in.
I walked out of the bathroom only to see that there was a balcony. I opened it and walked outside to find a beautiful garden full of different kinds of colored flowers and a fountain. I honestly don't think I can get used to this.
I heard a knock coming from the door, I walked in the room and closed the balcony doors, then I opened the door to reveal what seems to be a palace maid and a cart full of food.
"Lunch is to be served Miss Collins." She curtseyed, I opened the door wider and got out of her way as she walked in the room. I smiled at her and asked "What is your name?"
"My name is Ana, Miss Collins, I will be your Lady in waiting." She bowed her head. I stood there shock and shook my head.
"Ana just call me Ella, I'm not royalty. Let's just be friends." I smiled.
"But you will be the princess soon and become royalty Miss Ella, it was clear to us that we use formality. "
"No, I just want you to call me Ella , no miss just Ella. I need a friend here at least, but if you don't want to, then I won't force you."I smiled sadly.
"No! I-I mean I do want to be your friend, but don't let anyone else know. I don't know if I'll get in trouble." She stuttered.
I just nodded before sitting at the medium sized table by the windows. She brought the cart towards the table containing many kinds of food fit to feed me and my former family. She started setting up the table, and once she was done, she was about to leave.
"Wait Ana! Come and share with me, this is all to much for me to eat." I giggled.
"I mustn't Mi- I mean Ella. I am not allow-"I cut her off " Who said so? You're my friend, you must join me, I don't like being alone." I gave her a sad look, and gladly she bought it.
Ana took a seat in front of me, and we both started eating. She informed me that later at 4:30, I have to get ready for dinner with the royal family. I told her I didn't have anything to wear, and she just chuckled and told me not to worry. I just nodded and continued eating.
After we were done eating, Ana said she had to bring everything back, and that she had more chores to do before she helps me later. I nodded and bid her a see you later, before going to the balcony and stared at the garden.
I then heard a noise coming from my left, I look to see another balcony, only from another room. I turned to see the prince without a shirt and covered in what I believe are tattoos. I knew they were tattoos considering Zayn has them. I didn't want to stare and turned to walk in my room before I heard his voice talking to someone. I leave my Balcony doors slightly open and closed the curtains so that he won't see me eavesdropping.
"I know I'm getting married soon! Doesn't mean we still can't have fun. It's not like she'll fall for me, she should be smarter than that. What would I want with a little girl. She's not even that pretty nor has the perfect body. I don't even want to look at her. She's just a commoner." He chuckled. I realized that this isn't worth listening too so I close the balcony doors gently and started sobbing with my hands covering my mouth so he won't hear me.
I knew I wasn't beautiful or I don't have the perfect body. I didn't eat well back at home and now my body refuses to let me eat so much. Hearing such insulting words from such a handsome prince, my future husband to be exact, hurt more than it should.
I didn't asked for this life, but now I have to bear with it.
