enjolras was walking down the street when he suddenly felt a tug at the back of his head and quickly turned on his heel and saw a pale-skinned, dark-haired man holding the red ribbon he used to tie his ponytail back. the man gave a toothy grin.
"excuse me," enjolras paused, "who do you think you are?"
"well you look like apollo, so if we're on terms of gods, i am dionysus, god of wine," the man replied.
"my name is not apollo."
"then why do you look like him?"
"because that's just how i look," enjolras stayed, frustrated, "give me back my ribbon," he demanded.
"why should i?"
"because it's mine, not yours, dionysus."
"fine," said the man, placing the ribbon in enjolras' hand.
"thank you, now i'll be on my way," enjolras huffed and started walking again.
enjolras stopped when he heard a voice cry out.
"wait!" the man grabbed enjolras' wrist but quickly pulled his hand away.
enjolras raised a brow in confusion at the stranger he was oddly and quickly growing fond of.
"do you maybe want to grab a coffee sometime? or go to dinner or watch a movie or something?" the man stumbled on his words. enjolras noticed the nervousness of dionysus, deciding to take advantage of this moment and become more confident, he smirked.
"well, only if you tell me your real name... and maybe prove to me why i should go on a date with you," enjolras said.
the man blushed and nodded.
"of course, uh, my name is grantaire and i um will prove myself worthy by..." grantaire stopped to think. his eyes lit up as he laughed and explained his plan.
"i can balance a spoon on my nose," he giggled and pulled a plastic spoon out of his pocket which nobody will know how long he has had that spoon in his pocket.
grantaire quickly but carefully balanced the spoon on his nose and looked at the blonde man. both of the young men had smiles on their faces.
"huh? what do you think?" grantaire questioned enjolras.
"well... with your nervousness and your obviously level of being an amateur, i'd score a seven out of ten. okay, we can go out," enjolras said.
"really? oh cool! wow, this is so weird i didn't think you would say yes..." grantaire rambled on for a good two minutes while enjolras just watched him.
enjolras pulled a pen and a piece of paper out of his messenger bag and placed the paper against grantaire's arm. grantaire stayed still as the blonde scribbled on the paper. he handed the paper to grantaire, kissed his cheek and walked down the street then turned a corner.
grantaire, still in awe, looked down at the paper.

this was the message left on the paper.
"will do," grantaire whispered with a smile to himself. he shoved the paper in his pocket and continued walking down the street, hardly paying attention to anything due to the fact he was drunk.
however, this man was usually drunk off of alcohol and pretty often. but this was different, this was a new feeling. he was drunk on love.
