enjolras was curled up on grantaire's chest on their bed as grantaire picked up enjolras hand and started examining it.
he noticed tears falling from the blondes eyes, darkening the sheets beneath them. grantaire ran his free hand through his boyfriend's messy hair.
"what's wrong, apollo?" grantaire questioned with a sadness pricking his voice. enjolras sniffled before answering quietly.
"i'm just so..." he trailed off.
"so what? so perfect? are you sad because you are literally a god contained in a mortal form?" grantaire asked trying to lighten the mood, slightly chuckling.
"i'm just so imperfect," he answered, laughing softly back at grantaire, "i just don't know what you see in me."
grantaire looked bewildered and sat up, pulling enjolras up as well. he wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's body hugging him then pulling away, placing his hand on his shoulder.
"enjolras, you are the opposite of that. you are a god. your eyes contain fire and storms but they provide comfort to me because they can also be the ocean waves crashing down, creating white noise. you are my everything. your smile is perfect and your freckles are perfect and your curly hair is perfect and it's blondeness is perfect. and you're just perfect. just wow. you're breathtaking and i know that's not a very good or long description but i can't explain, not even if i painted you could i capture how amazing you are. i love you, enjolras," he paused taking a deep breath, "i'm sorry i get so flustered describing how awesome you are so i use words that aren't the best choice in my vocabulary such as 'awesome' and 'blondeness'," he said laughing at his own stupidity.
enjolras giggled back in response and wrapped his arms around grantaire's neck.
     "thank you," he whispered.
     "you're welcome."
     "grantaire?"
     "yes, my love?"
     "i love you too."
