"Ugh not again!"

Ding Ding Ding

Rolling over I start to whimper as the loud chimes of the formation bell rings throughout the camp. Over the years the "bell" became my worst enemy. You might think five years of waking up to the same old obnoxious bell might become less annoying; however, that is not the case. In fact, it somehow gets worse every year. Maybe it's because my body is changing, I mean I am almost 15 years old- I'm basically an adult. I have already started to sleep in later than usual and last year my parents let me go to bed around 10:30; this year there going to let me stay up for an extra 15 minutes! It's a big deal and really shows that I'm old enough to make big grownup decisions like buying a house or paying taxes.

As the bright morning light enters the cabin I can already hear the other girls start to move. Sydney Malloch, my bunkmate, springs from the top of the bed and slams her feet to the floor. The thud roars throughout the cabin ruining any of my chances of falling back to sleep. I swear I could feel the blood from my ears trickle down the sides of my cheeks. Sydney is always the first to wake up, she's more of a second alarm clock than anything else. Looking past the insufferable mornings it is safe to say she is one of the more beautiful campers. Sydney Malloch's bright amber eyes and perfectly straight teeth could make anyone hate her out of jealousy. Not saying I do, but her kind personality only adds to the list. Her golden hair sways effortlessly as she walks to the shelf grabbing her toothbrush.
