Ding Ding Ding
"Dinners Ready!" Announced Niki, who has been monitoring the beach for the last few hours. Putting the thought aside of why Brent mysteriously left and never came back; I decided I would quickly visit Joslin at the infirmary before dinner to see how she was holding up. I had not seen her all day and had no one to talk to except for the short moment with Brent. Quietly knocking on the nurses door I enter trying to make as little noise as possible. My first year here I was sent to the nurse's office for the flu and was told to stay in the extra beds so that she may check up on me. I remember how often kids would rudely rush into the office making a havoc even when told there were sick campers.
"Hi Linda," I say whispering to the nurse, "How is Joslin holding up"?
"Oh hi Fiana, don't worry she's okay," she replies in a soft yet sturdy tone, "I'm actually sending her back tonight after dinner, shes still sleeping though."
"Okay!" I say replying a bit too excited. Grabbing the door handle I start to make my way out to the dining hall.
"Actually before you leave can you help me bring these old newspapers up to the attic" Linda askedin a subtle tone.
"Of course!" I reply in an ecstatic manner. While Linda passed me newspapers up to the attic one edition from 1930 falls out of the pile currently in her grasp. Quickly rushing down the creaky stairs I hand her the paper quickly glancing at the title, which read "TEEN GOES MISSING AT TURNERS SUMMER CAMP" This instantly caught my eye and wanting to know more I ask Linda if she knew anything about what happened.
"Well..."
"Hey Linda I'm feeling a lot better," interrupts Joslin "Sorry, but I heard your voice Fiana and I think I'm ready to leave now, plus I am starving!" Rushing out the nurses office Linda thanks me again for the help. I was still intrigued about the newspaper; however, Joslin being back was a bit more exhilarating than an old camp mystery.
