Ding Ding Ding
"Why don't you just shoot me already," howls Joslin.
The orange glow of the sun slowly enters as the minutes pass quickly becoming a bright blinding gleam that could make anyone never want to go out again.
"Enough already," scowls Sarah, "C'mon everyone lets not be the last faction down to breakfast again," announcing in her sleepy manner, "I repeat, is that UNDERSTOOD." Quickly everyone replies in sync.
"Yes ma'am!"
As we walk down to breakfast I begin to think about these last few weeks, more importantly these last few weeks with Brent. That night he showed up to my cabin was the moment that sparked Brent and I's secret relationship. Every night for the past three weeks we would meet down at the waterfront after everyone was fast asleep. I would also have conversations with him on the beach whenever there was an open swim. Brent Bryson's golden blonde hair, chiseled jaw and perfectly white teeth grabbed my attention the moment I met him. I'd never seen Brent anywhere than by the water and not even in the dining hall; This was weird because I know how boys are when they eat. Although he was odd, this did not matter because I was starting to fall in love with him. I've learned so much about how he loves to be out on the water canoeing, and what his favorite snacks are. Also, he knows that I don't like the water because of what almost happened to Sydney, but he's been patient and I trust his sailing skills because that's all he seems to ever want to talk about, so I've decided tonight would be the night I'd go out on the water with him.
"Fiana can you pass the syrup," asked Sydney.
"Of course," I say as my thoughts are still revolving around Brent.
Leaning closer she nudges my shoulder and whispers,"hey, one more thing are you free to talk during rest hour today, its important." Rest hour is my favorite period of the day and it's a time for campers to relax and do whatever they want. Most of the older campers either sleep or play board games whereas the younger ones typically run around with a ball of some sort.
"I was planning on going on another walk, but I guess it would be fine if I missed this one time" replying with a slightly anxious smile. I have just recently started meeting up with Brent during rest hour, so I'm sure he would be ok if I missed one of our little chats. I mean, we hang out everyday two sometimes three times a day and plus I'm going to see him later tonight anyways.
