Ding Ding Ding
By the time the night bell rang everyone was fast asleep and the cold night breeze made its way throughout the cabin even causing Joslin to shiver. I reflected, once again, about my fight with Jane earlier; just like I have for the past six hours contemplating why it felt so right to react the way I did. I don't think I will ever truly feel sorry, but for the sake of showing remorse towards Janes it earned me enough brownie points to not have my parents called about my bad attitude. Quietly making my way out of bed I slip on my sandals and make my way down to the waterfront to meet up with Brent.
"Hey! Fiana" uttered Brent, "thanks again for agreeing to meet me down at the docks."
"Of course Brent, anything for you," I say, mesmerized by his soft voice.
"So how about a ride out on the lake tonight," Brent says jokingly as he nudges my shoulder.
"Okay" I reply, regretting instantly what I had just done, but its Brent Bryans and I will not ruin any chances of keeping my secret friend.
"Really?" He questions in disbelief, "Only if you're ready though."
"I'm ready," I say as I step into the sail boat.
"Okay great I've been meaning to show you something ever since I met you!" He replies handing me the oars.
