i'm writing in this again because today i hung out with peyton (i learned that's how you spell her name) and i actually talked! like real words! she laughed at all my jokes, even the ones that probably weren't very funny.

i went out to the courtyard at lunch with grayson but she wasn't there. i didn't want to seem weird so i didn't look for her, but i was kind of disseppointed (that word doesn't look right?) that she wasn't there. after lunch though, i left grayson because i had to go to class and i heard someone calling my name. peyton came running up to me and she started walking with me. i got butterflies in my stomach right away which is kind of embarrassing to say even on paper, but grayson wasn't there to help me out so i eventually forced out words.

peyton told me she wanted to come and talk to grayson and i at lunch but she had to stay with her best friend who was upset. i told her it was okay but that i would have liked to hang out with her too. then we came up to her class and she was about to run in when she turned and said "do you want to hang out after school?". it took me a few seconds to answer because i was so focused on how her hair whipped around her face when she turned to ask me the question. then i smiled and said "yeah, i'll meet you in the courtyard."

well, grayson and i already had plans with our friend nate after school but i told him to go without me. he asked if i wanted him to stay to help me out which was really nice (perks of having a twin that's also your best friend!) but i said no because i really wanted to try and show peyton i'm not a TOTAL WEIRDO.

here's the best part... peyton and i hung out for hours after school. it took me a little bit to finally shake the nerves but once i did i felt like i knew her forever. she's soo nice and really funny, she's the easiest person to get along with. i think she can tell i look at her like i want to kiss her but she's really nice about it. like i said yesterday, i will probably ask her out some day because i think i like her but just for now, she's a great friend

i was really scared she heard some of the things that some guys in school say about my brother and i, that we're losers and freaks or whatever, but peyton didn't seem to know about any of that. if she does, she doesn't care. when i walked her home (yeah, i even walked her home!), we talked about so many different things and at the end she told me she was happy we hung out.

i'm glad i'm writing this stuff down. my memory is absolutely horrible, so now i won't forget. i have a feeling this girl is going to be a big part of my life.
