Ch. 35

*Lauren's Pov*

Me and Niall leave the house and once we arrive at a fancy restaurant we're greeted by a creepy man in a sleek black suit with a short buzz cut and an eye patch covering his left eye

"Lauren Roberts and Niall Horan I presume" the man says and reaches his hand out to Niall to shake

"You got my call earlier Lauren" he says and gives me crooked smile that gives me chills

"Yes I-I did" I say and I stutter a little realizing he was the person who said "I'm coming"

"Let me introduce myself, my name is James Stockensluther but my friends call me Stock" he says and his voice dropping at stock

"We're here to enjoy a dinner away from our daughter so if this isn't important could we please discuss this at another time?" Niall asks trying not to sound rude

"Oh no problem Mr. Horan, if you agree this won't take long at all" Stock says "please come have a seat"

Niall and I follow him to an empty table he tightens the grip on my hand

"What is this about?" I ask quietly

"I have a proposal for you" he says and does that creepy crooked smile again "You are both very young and have your whole lives ahead of you. You don't want a child weighing you down I'm sure so my proposal is I will take Peyton Olivia Horan home with me to my wife who is unable to get pregnant and has fallen in love with pictures of your daughter and in return you two can live happy lives and have a child when you want one" he says

My heart drops and I want to reach out and punch this man in the face even for suggesting such a thing and by Niall flinching I know he feels the same way

"Never!!" Niall screams

"Oh please Niall don't cause a scene please let me finish" the man says and adjusts his eye patch

But I see below his eye patch that there is indeed and eye and by a freckle located just below his eye I suddenly recognize this strange person

"Nathan!" I screech and stand up and push away the table

Niall looks up at me and gives me a confused look

"It's Nathan I know by the freckle under his eye" I scream

"Oh my god" Niall shouts and lunges across the table and grabs Nathan by the collar of his white button down shirt "what the hell is wrong with you???"

"I have no idea what you're talking about" the man whispers an pushes Niall off of him

"What the hell would you want with my daughter??" I scream at him

Nathan reaches out and brushes my cheek with his rough thumb

"Your daughter is your greatest weakness and by having her I have full control of you" he whispers in my ear

"Why aren't you in jail???" I ask and shove his face away from mine and form a tight grip around his chin

"They let me out early for good behavior" he says and easily walks out of my grip "come with me Lauren, Niall is a no good pice of shit who is going to dissapoint you and will never be a good father. I will take care of you and your baby" Nathan says an shoves me against the wall with his shoulder

"Listen here you dumb ass, I may not be perfect but I am a thousand times better father then you will ever because you know what I'm not a criminal!!!" Niall shouts and grabs Nathan off of me and pushes him hard into the floor as if he weighed nothing

"Someone call the police!!!" I scream at the top of my lungs

"Oh no I don't think you want to do that" Nathan says and gets up and walks over to me and puts his hands on the wall on either side of my head "now why don't you give me a nice kiss and let me take you home and let me get into you and I can knock you up. You little slut" Nathan says seductively

"Why would I ever do that" I say and try to get away but with one solid shove to my stomach I'm pegged against the wall

Niall gets up to help me but I just shake my head no because if Niall fights Nathan Niall will be in trouble too

The police arrive just in time to see Nathan place his hand on my throat and whisper sick things into my ear that make me want to throw up.

"Stop right there!!" A police officer shouts and shoves Nathan off and pushes him against a wall and handcuffs him

Nathan doesn't say anything it's no use the police saw him with his hand around my throat

"Don't worry he won't be bothering you again" the officer says and leads Nathan out of the restaurant

Niall runs up to me and kisses my lips and pulls me into a tight embrace and pets the back of my head

My eyes fill with tears I begin to sob

"It's okay Lauren shhhh your ok I'm here now he can't hurt you anymore your going to be ok" Niall soothes

"Take me home Niall please, I need to see my baby" I beg him

"Ok let's go home" Niall says and carries me out to the car

Why can't we just ever have a nice meal?
