Ch. 39

*Louis' POV*
After the reception I sneak away up to my hotel room with out Peyton noticing and there Liam and Zayn are waiting for me with the ring.
"Thanks mate" I say as Liam hands me the ring
"Are you nervous?" Zayn asks
"Just a little, I'm so in love with her and I know that she's the person that I am meant to spent the rest of my life with" I say quietly slightly embarrassed
"I'm sure she feels the same way" Liam says and pats my back
"You better head down Louis, the reception is ending soon" Zayn says as he looks at his phone for the time
"Alright here goes nothing" I say and leave the room
As I'm waiting for the elevator I talk myself through what I'm going to say
The elevator door opens and Niall appears and he's holding Baby Peyt with out stretched arms away from his body
"Woah Niall where are you going?" I say
"Peyt needs a change" he shouts but he's already run down the hall
I step into the elevator and I start feeling nervous. I just want everything to be perfect.
The elevator door opens and I'm standing in the hotel lobby. I look for Peyton and I find her standing in the line to be seated at the restaurant. I run up and give her a hug from behind
"Hey babe" she says as she turns around and grabs my chin "where have you been?"
"Oh I just left my wallet up in the room" I say
"Oh ok good thing you got it cause I'm not paying" she says and laughs
I chuckle too and kiss her cheek
We stand in line and chat until we get up to the usher stand
"Hello do you have reservations?" The usher asks
"Yes Louis Tomlinson for 2 please" I say politely
"Right this way please" she says and as we follow her my phone starts buzzing in my pocket but I ignore it an it eventually stops but once we're seated it starts buzzing again
"Hold on sweetie someone keeps trying to call me" I tell Peyton
She rolls her eyes but I answer it anyway
*on the phone with Zayn*
L: what do you want Zayn? I'm kind of in the middle of something
Z: you don't have the ring
L: yes I do it's right here in my pocket
Z: the box is empty because the ring is sitting right here on the couch
L: I'll be right up to get it. Thanks Zayn
*phone call ends*
I Stand up quickly
"What the hell where are you going now?" Peyton asks
"I accidentally grabbed Zayn's wallet instead of mine I'll just run up really quick to get it" I say
"What is up with you? You keep disappearing?" Peyton says
"Yes I know but this is the last time I swear" I say and run out before she can say anything else
Once I'm up in Zayn's room I slip the beautifully polished diamond ring into the velvet box and drop it into my suit jacket pocket
I run down the stairs because the elevator is taking to long
"I'm back" I say in between heavy breathes to Peyton who looks irritated
"Now sit down and don't go anywhere. Me and my handsome boyfriend are going to sit here in this beautiful restaurant and enjoy a delicious meal while we celebrate on the night of my best friends wedding" Peyton demands
"Of course" I say and I sit down and smile at her
"Finally" she says and rolls her eyes again
"I love you" I say
She chuckles and goes back to looking at the menu
I reach across the table and grab her free hand and rub my thumb over it and my heart starts beating so fast I'm afraid it will burst right out onto the table and I will die right here and now.
Peyton raises her eyebrow at me
"Peyton Grace Glossberg" I say slowly "you are the love of my life. Every second of everyday my mind is lost in your beautiful eyes, no man on earth is as lucky as I am to be able to call you mine. You are the strongest women I know, at only the age of 18 you've moved out of your home, became world famous, accepted your best friend when no one else did, sat in the hospital with Lauren when the doctors didn't know if she would make it, you helped your best friend give birth to a child who you now love as your own, you became pregnant with my child and we lost our beautiful baby and here we are still standing strong. You have a smile that can light up the darkest room on the darkest night. And I'm simply in love with you and everything about you. And I would sing a song to you but I know you'd rather here this in my words and that would be to predictable" I get down from the chair and get on one knee and pull the ring from my pocket "so even at the young age we are and how many people will say we are too young, I know my love for you is more than enough to last us an eternity let alone a lifetime and that lifetime I don't want to spend with anyone else besides you so will you Peyton Grace Glossberg marry me?"
Peyton is crying and her eyes sparkle
"Of course" she chokes out inbetween sobs
I stand up and pull her into a wet kiss because I'm crying too and at this moment I'm happier than I have ever been
The restaurant erupts with applause and Lauren, Niall, Peyt, Sara, Liam, Perrie, Zayn, Liam, Quinn and Harry enter and Niall screams "Group Hug!!!!"
The 11 of us pile into a giant hug and I kiss Peyton's cheek
We all pull apart
Liam grabs a glass of champagne from a near by table and shoves it into the air and shouts "A toast to the newly weds Mr. And Mrs. Niall James Horan and the engaged couple Louis and Peyton"
"Here Here" we all shout
I grab Peyton and pull her close and I whisper in her ear "I'm the luckiest man in the world" and we kiss
