Mom parked our car in front of a big house with a light red color. Like all the other houses in Possum Springs, it really reminded me of autumn. Even though the trees were blooming green and the sky was bright blue (Since it was summer) the buildings and atmosphere of the town gave a cozy feeling of a chilly autumn day. Me, my parents and my younger sister got out of the car and started carrying our bags into our new home. Me and my sister got to pick out our bedrooms first, and luckily I got to the biggest room before my sister, Lola, did. The room had one wall with wallpaper with the pattern of wood-logs and the rest of the walls were painted white. "Wow." I said as I put my bags down. The moving company had already placed all the furniture there, but it was a pure mess so I started to move stuff around until it was the way I liked it.
After renovating for what felt like hours, I finally looked around my new room with a smile on my face. My mom entered the room and had a look around too. "Sweetie, you've done a great job! It looks beautiful." she pulled me into a hug and ruffled my hair. "Thanks, mom" I replied and tried to fix my white hair as it was before. "Why don't you go and have a look around town? I'm sure there's lots for you to see. Bring your camera and take some pictures too." Mom suggested, smiled, and walked out of the room. I thought "sure" and grabbed my camera to leave the house.
Outside it was warm and sunny and as I was walking down the street I saw people doing everyday stuff all around town. Kids were playing, birds were chirping and it was just heartwarming to look at everything in this little town. I'd gladly call this place my new home. I held my camera in a tight grip and snapped some pictures of the trees, some houses and some kids who ran up to me and playfully posed, asking me to take a photo of them. Before I knew it I wasn't far away from the towns end. I turned around and started to walk back since there was only a closed and abandoned restaurant at the end of town. A small grocery store caught my eye and I decided to go and buy some candy. Little did I know who I would meet there.
