Two months went by. All of us had been feeling much better, which was great. We lived the typical "happy ever after"-life, and we enjoyed it to the fullest. Because, who knew when something were to happen again?
Gregg and I were on a forest walk and ended up at the bridge and the "Welcome to Possum Springs"-sign. "Come 'ere" Gregg gestured as he hopped up and sat down on the bridge railing. "That could be dangerous-" I started. He just laughed and I adored his cheeky smile. "Seriously? Out of everything we've done together you point out that this is dangerous?" he said. "Okay fine you have a point." I admitted as I sat down next to him. Night had began to fall over town and stars could be seen on the sky. "Look, that's the Big Snake" Gregg said and pointed to some stars. It was a constellation I'd heard of in school but I'd forgotten all about it. "I've heard of that one." I replied and suddenly it was like a blue, shining line connected the stars, and you could see a clear, detailed picture of the snake. "Woah" we both gasped, then looked at each other, then back at the sky.
We were both fascinated by the stars. "This is beautiful" I said. "Not as beautiful as you are." Gregg answered and scooted closer, putting his arm over my shoulders. I leaned my head against his shoulder. "There you are!" Mae suddenly exclaimed as her and Bea stepped out of the bushes and walked over to us. "Hey, what are you two doing here?" I asked them. They both got up beside us on the railing. "Looking for you, of course!" Mae said. We didn't even bother to ask why, we just let them sit beside us and watch the stars.
Bea spoke up. "Do you want to hear a little something I came up with?" she asked. "Sure."
"We aren't a big part of the universe. But every little part of it is important. Perhaps not to everybody, but to me, you guys are my favourite parts of the universe." she said. "Aww~" Mae squealed. "Our universe." Gregg smiled. "Yeah." Mae put one arm over my shoulder, and one over Beas. "Our universe."
I could feel a tear pour down my face as we all just sat there, huddled together with my best friends, watching the stars. "I love you guys" I said, and smiled. "We love you too, Jannie." they all replied in unison.
I had never felt as much at home before. Being with my best friends and my boyfriend, proving that even if you've gone trough some shit, your friends will always stick to you.
I couldn't have been more thankful.
