Chapter 1

A/N- Hey guys its Zira. We just wanna say thanks for continuing to read and that we're continuing from AJ POV from chapter 34 of Blood, Lust, Desire. Comment, vote, follow and all that good stuff. :)

AJ'S POV

"ALEXANDRA WHAT HAPPENED!?!?"I asked terrified now. She shook her head at me.

"It's your father. He cut his self and now he's in the ER. Dr. Derek said he's in ICU due to someone getting to him too late" Alex said with tears streaming down her eyes. I was utterly shocked. I couldn't move from the bed. I couldn't cry. I felt like I couldn't breathe.

"No he...he wouldn't do that he's stronger than that" I said in shock. Alex hung up the phone. She got back on the bed and she pulled me in close to her. I shook my head. "Why...why would he do this?" I asked my voice cracking.

Alex didn't say anything as she held me close. She got up and got some sweat pants and a shirt out of my dresser. She placed them on the bed next to me. "We're going to the hospital, so get ready" Alex said with authority. She didn't realize she was naked so she got a pair of basketball shorts and a shirt out of my dresser and she put on the clothes. It was quiet as we got dressed. "We should just run there because it'll be quicker" Alex said. I nodded and we reached the coven's ER in about two minutes.

Alex held my hand and squeezed it as we walked in the doors. Everyone gave me and Alex sympathetic looks. "Max Justice" Alex said as she spoke to the nurse. She nodded her head and we walked to my father's room. He was unconscious and pale. I frowned and Alex's hand caressed mine as she rubbed my fingers. It wasn't taking the pain away but it soothed me. We entered the room and sat down in the chair. Then Alex patted her lap, so I sat in her lap as she stared at my father.

"I can't lose him" I said. "He's all I have left that loves me as his daughter. We had so much fun together" I said reminiscent in my memories of my father. "I remember when I was sixteen and I told my parents I was gay. He didn't see anything wrong with it. My mother was confused and shocked at first. But my father said "Pat its okay. She'll always be our little girl. Doll" I chuckled mimicking my father's tone. "I just want you to be happy. If women is what satisfies you then I'm all for it. That's just one extra thing we have in common. Then he smirked. My father was always there for me. Even when I lost my mom. It was a rough time in my life. I had cut myself then...but knowing he did something like that just shows how my father is losing himself" I said breaking down into tears.

"Alexandra your father is still the same man he always was. He's broken inside. I know the feeling" Alex said looking at me.

I looked at my father. He had bandages on his arms. He was still bleeding. "He's experiencing too many emotions at once" I said. Alex nodded. Alex held my hands as we watched my father breath in and out. I eventually fell asleep in Alex's arms.

Three Hours Later...

I woke up to a sound the machine made. I got off of Alex and she walked over to my father. I was getting worried but then Alex smiled. She put her hand on my father's forehead. "Is there something wrong" I asked.

"Quite the opposite. His healing is returning back to normal. Due to his abilities to heal at a fast rate the machine made a noise notifying us that his healing process is no longer slow. Instead it's increasing because he's not your average vampire" she said. My eyebrows rose at her knowledge.

"You'll be a great doctor someday" I said. Alex blushed at the compliment. I sat back down and Alex sat in the chair next to me. "She's always there for me and my father. I can't wait till we get married" I thought. Alex was looking at the machine monitoring my father's health. She was thinking about school and how the monitor connected to what she learned in class. She caught me staring at her and I blushed looking the other way.
