MAX'S POV

I woke up the next morning in a dusty lair, sleeping on a metal bed. There was a man in the corner, he looked weak, and old. He wouldn't put up a good fight. His blonde hair was frill and he was asleep as it fell onto his face.

I coughed to test his awareness. He didn't move. As I tried to get up I fell. My foot was chained to the bed with a brass footlock. I sighed.

"Franklin!" I heard the familiar ring leaders voice cry from afar. Franklin still lied asleep. I assumed he was a heavy sleeper that'd be getting fired and left to rot in his home, if he had one. The ring leader walked in with her mask on, and cracked a whip near Franklin. He screamed. "I-I-I'm sorry Ms-" he whimpered before she cut him off. "Don't beg of my forgiveness. Get the hell out of here." She said as Franklin scampered away. "And don't come back!" She screamed.

"How's the footlock?" She asked as her attention turned to me. I shrugged. "Pretty amazing. I'm surprised you can afford this." I chuckled. She didn't find it funny.

"Max, you find yourself humorous hmm?" She asked, with a slight smirk. She walked out as if she had cause a mysterious scene.

I laid back on the bed. "Max." I heard a faded whisper. I assumed that I had gone psychotic from the filthiness, unstableness of the room. "Max!" The voice shouted again. It sounded more feminine. I shook my head and rested my eyes. "Mutant baby!" The voice whispered.

"What the hell? Lillian?" I asked. She was looking through the bars of the window, and fell in. "How'd you get here and how'd you know I was here." I asked as she pulled me into an embrace. She took a breath as her hair fell into her face. I smiled at her visage and pushed her hair back. She smiled.

"I missed you, babes. And I was worried like hell." She said.

"Worried that I would end up being in a cell caught by some egomaniac?" I chuckled. She smiled and leaned in to kiss me. I paused, and accepted the kiss.

"No, I thought you would get laid by some slut and probably get hitched." She laughed.

"Max!" I heard the woman scream. I pushed Lilian to the floor and told her to hide. She fell next to the metal bed. "It's time to get all the way up and speak." She walked in sitting next to me. "The HVIC, how skilled is she?" She asked, wrapped a metal bracelet around my hand. "You guys have a lot of metal. Are there metal cups too?" I asked. She pressed the button sending a shock coursing through my body. I shivered fighting the pain. "What the hell is up with you and these waves!" I said, barely audible. She got up and began to pace. "You're such an awesome man, Max. I'd hate to see you leave this place alive." She chuckled, turning up the voltage with a wireless remote. I sighed, as the pain began to course through my body more, causing me to scream.

"In what fucking world is this okay!" I heard Lillian scream from the side of the bed, pouncing up. Her fingers cringed, as a force allowed her to push the woman against the wall. "Your mother seemed to find it okay." The masked woman smirked. "Don't bring up my mother from your mouth." Lillian frowned, and held the woman against the wall. Lillian walked over to her slowly, still holding her up against it. "You don't know her." She said as she began to cry. She woman began to cringe in pain, as Lillian fell to her knees, the woman fell with her, half conscious. Lillian broke the lock around my foot without moving. "Let's go." She said, but didn't budge.

I got up to walk, and held my hand out to hers. She grabbed it and stood up. We ran out of the cell but were stopped by a two men. "Well, well what do we have here?" They asked. Lillian took them out without strife. I stood in awe. "Let's go Max, she said. We ran out of the door and into her old, fades car. Derek was in the drivers seat. "Drive, idiot!" Lillian screamed, and Derek pulled off.
