Meet Me By The Stage Door (Cameron/Joshua Colley)

ITS PARTY TIME!

We end rehearsal, and then we go to give Ruby a tour.

"So this is the theatre," I say as I lead her onstage and then back stage. We are led to the green hall, which connects to the dressing rooms.

"This is Mavis and my room.  This is Cam and Jude's room; this is Emily's room. This is Jacob and Luca's room; this is Beth and Jess's room, and this is Finn, Sawyer and Eli's room."

"Wow! I never thought I would see these!" She says as I lead us to the stage door.

We walk through and end up in between Lexington and East 53rd. We walk back into the theater and we go through a small door into the stairwell. I lead her to the rehearsal room and everyone greets us.

"RUBY!!! JORDY!!!" They all chorus.

"Who wants to sign my cast?" I ask quizzically

"I will!"

"Can I!"

"Who wrote Connor?"

"Who has a sharpie?"

"I've got a pink one."

"Whatever works!"

As they all sign my cast I pull out my phone and shoot my mom a text.

Jordypants: Hey mom, can I invite the cast over for a party?

MaryaNeeWhite: Yes, that's fine. Do you want me to get snacks and stuff?

JordyPants: That would be gr8! Thanks mom! ILYSM!

MaryaNeeWhite: okay, how is your arm?

JordyPants: Its good, well besides it being broken and all.

JordyPants: I gotta go mom! Love you!

MaryaNeeWhite: Bye sweetie. I love you too!

I look up from my phone and tell everyone the good news.

"Okay guys! My mom said I could invite the entire cast over for a party! So do you guys wanna come over?"

"Yeah! That sounds like fun! But what are we going to do with Miss Ruby here?" Emily says. 

"I can tell my dad that you can drop me back off at the hospital. If you can drop me back off at the hospital."

"Yeah! We can! It's not too far out of the way to my house."

"I can drive you to the hospital." Emily says. "Jordy do you want to come along too?"

"Yeah. Cam, Sawyer can you go back to my house and help my mom clean up and set up?"

"How about everyone comes over at 7---"

"Yeah, that's fine. We'll walk." Sawyer says over Cam.

"So we all have a half hour to get ready." Cam finishes

"That sounds great! See you all then!" I say to everyone as Emily, Ruby and I walk out of the theatre.

We pile into Emily's car and drive up Lexington. Once we get to the hospital we go to the front desk and ask to see Dr. Turner. We explain to the woman behind the front desk that we are here to drop off his daughter and to thank him again.

She explains to us that he goes on break in 5 minutes, and will call us into his office.

We are called in and we drop off Ruby.

"Thank you Jordy!" She says giving me a big bear hug. "This has been my dream forever! I will never forget this."

"Awwe, you're welcome! I've never had a fan before so I will never forget this too! Remember you can always Snap me." I hug her back.

"I hate to interrupt this sweet moment but my break is ending in 10 minutes and I still have something to do." Dr. Turner interrupts.

"Its fine!  We actually had to be going soon. Thank you again!"

"Thank you Jordy! Bye bye!"

"You're welcome Ruby. Bye Bye!"

We leave the hospital and proceed onto my house. I lead Emily inside and find the house all set up and Sawyer passed out on the couch with muffin curled up on his chest. I sneak a picture and walk into the kitchen, there Cam is making brownies with my mom. I tell Emily to do what she wants as long as a mess isn't made. I dash upstairs and change out of my dance clothing. I change into a pair of jeans and an oversized hoodie. I hear the first knock on the door and then I run back downstairs to go answer it.

"Hey Babe!!!!" I say to Mavis as she walks in. Realizing Sawyer is still asleep I wake him up.

"Babe! Babe! Time to get up, people are starting to arrive."

"Wha- what? Oh shit! I fell asleep as soon as I got here. I sat down to pet Muffin and then I must have fallen asleep. I didn't help Cam clean. I'm sorry!" Sawyer says groggily

"Don't worry about it! It was pretty clean, I spent most of my time in here making the brownies!" Cam shouts from the kitchen.

"I'M STILL SORRY!"

"IT'S OKAY!"

I put Sawyer on door duty, so he doesn't fall asleep again. Once I do that I go into the kitchen to check on Cam.

"Are you burning down my apartment?"

"I'm trying not too!"

"Well anyway, they smell good. Put them in the oven and come join us all in the living room."

"Okay." As he said this Sawyer opened the door and Finn, Jude, Eli, Luca, Beth, Jess, and Jacob all walk in.

"How come it took you guys so long?" I ask

"We walked. JUDE had the bright idea of walking instead of letting my mom drive us all." Eli announces pointedly.

"SORRY! It's a nice day!"

"Its 90˚ out." Eli says starting an argument between the two of them.

"Guys! Guys! Stop fighting!" I shout towards the two boys. "Emily, I think your phone is ringing."

"Crap! I gotta go! Its my aunt's birthday. I completely forgot! See you guys tomorrow! Bye!" She shouts as she runs out the door.

"Well. This is a start. What's that smell?" Sawyer says nonchalantly.

Cam smells the air and runs to the kitchen. We learn the state of the brownies by the loud "Damn it" that pierces the room.

"Oof. Who wants to play truth or dare?" I say trying to take the attention off Emily, the two fighting boys and Cam's inadequate baking skills.

WELP THIS IS VERY SCATTERBRAINED. I TRIED TO MAKE IT SO IT WOULD SHOW ALL THE STUFF HAPPENING AT ONCE. INSTEAD IT TURNED INTO A CHAOTIC MESS. COMMENT SOME TRUTH OR DARE QUESTIONS BELOW (AND WHO THEY ARE FOR) BC I SUCK AT COMING UP WITH THOSE.
