Red Rain Mansion
(Essence Unconscious Mind )Cold
Utterly and freezing cold.
That's the description of my surroundings. Nothing more, nothing less. I don't know where I am or how I got here but I know I was no longer in the study. Somehow I been transported to a forested area where the trees met rocky cliff. The dirt beneath my feet melted through the soles of my shoes. Bitter coldness nipping at my toes until an indirect demand invaded the still air.
"Essence we can't stay here. You're going to have to run!"
My head turned in a swirl as I tried to locate the voice's origin. It was a heavy sound that shake throughout the sky: and the bitter coldness helped capture the fear possessing the command urgency.
"Hurry Essence. I can hear the dogs."
Now the voice was closer. It's vocals held of a woman: a woman whose lungs seems to be failing her.
I turned in circles. Swinging my head every each way. The cliff was abandoned of all living souls. The ground, the sky, the forest, and the star didn't not hold a gleam. The coldness tainted all in the moment. Entrance in confusion I wondered my way to the edge of the cliff. It was a blunt cut. Gravel falling aimlessly down to the pitless darkness.
"Essence, we're almost there."
Essence. Essence.Essence.
She's the reasoning I was in this location. Her unknown powers working through dark magic in my mind.
I have to get out of here.
I thought as the black pit underneath my feet morphed into a midnight blue river.
Just a I was about to jump, I heard the pitter patter of bare feet hitting stiff ground.
" I could see the cliff." The female stated. And on cue, bodies emerged from the blurred woods.
It was of a mother and child. The child was clinging to the form of the woman as if it was her only life line. The woman's hair was cut short: almost to make her assemble a form of man. The mother's makeshift dress flew behind her- adding streaks to identify how unbelievably fast she was moving.
Without a moment to spare the woman came face to face with me. Her warm earth eyes looked me directly into my soul.
"This is our only chance." She said. Although I know she was speaking to the child that rested upon her childbearing hips, I couldn't shake the feeling that she knew I was there.
As brief moments passed, the sound of dogs made their way close to the forest edge.
Without hestitation the woman jumped-pushing me to fall in the air with her.
While the woman with the makeshift dress leaped graciously in the still air, I, on the other hand, fell harsh. But while I was swimming through the pits of darkness I made friends with the moon and stars. I traveled along the galaxy and danced with the sun. I slept on the clouds while counting its raindrops. It felt like we- The woman, the child, and I- was in the air for ages. As I was falling I caught glimpse of the child. She was brown- like the earth soil. Something whispered to me that she going to blossom into a force to reckoned with. Her hazel eyes just gives off power and dominance that weirdly makes me want to keep my distance.
All at once I met reality. The bitter coldness of the river rushed my being. The icy water pierced my skin as my lungs unwillingly swallowed pins and needles. Gathering strength I push my body to the surface. In sync, the woman and child rose also.
"Mommy." The soiled skin child coughed out.
"I'm here, child. I'm here. Don't worry I am here. We are safe now." The mother voice held comfort.
Blindly the woman swam to shore. One hand tightly around the child, the other cutting through ice water.
In the corner of my eye I spotted something. At first I thought it was the coldness bringing a touch to my mind but as I narrowed my vision it became clear: I saw it.
I saw the future in all its cruelty.
