How could I tell her?? What was I thinking?? I know she was happy about it and all but what if she tells everyone? No. She's not like that. I rode my bike all the way to work trying to clear my head. I worked part time at the town library. Yeah it was boring, but I got a lot of my homework done in the mean time.
You told her you were gay. You told her and now she's going to tell everyone!
Shut up! She's not like that! She was happy! We talked all night on that back porch she wouldn't do that!
I pulled up to library and parked my bike locking it up. As I walked through the automatic doors my boss eyed me up and down.
"You look stressed hun. What's wrong?"
"Just a long night last night Tori."
Tori was a middle-aged woman with snowy white hair. She stood about 4'11 and had a slight hunch in her back. She was an honest sweet heart.
"How about you take it easy today. Go upstairs and organize the new shipments by genre. You're good at that!"
She smiled sweetly and I scanned my time sheet clocking in.
................................................................As I walked up the stairs to the fourth floor that no one ever used, I heard crying in the bathroom.
Run bitch this is where you die!
I walked around the corner quietly and opened up the door. I saw a pair of combat boots sticking out of the stall door on the floor and I heard sniffles and quiet sobs of a female.
"H..hey...are you okay?"
The combat boots quickly slid into the stall and I could see her tuck her knees to her chest. I walked up to the open door and saw...
Lux?
I quickly knelt down and out of instinct scooped her into my arms hugging her tightly.
"What's wrong?"
Her sobs were muffled into my chest and when I finally opened my eyes I could tell she was holding her arm weird. I looked down and what I saw will stick with me forever. Not only was there a bloody blade on the floor next to her thigh, but her arm dripped red. I stood up grabbing a piece of paper towel and held it down on her arm. I took my other hand and wiped her tears away.
"Shhhh it's gonna be okay."
She sniffles quietly and looked up at me like I was an angel.
"T..thank you."
I shook my head,
"No need to thank me I couldn't let you go through this alone."
She shook her head back at me.
"No...you...you saved me. I would have bled out. You...you came in here and saved me."
She scooted closer to me and I brushed her hair behind her ear.
"I'm right here Lux, I'm not going anywhere."
And in that exact moment, I was beyond happy that I walked into that bathroom. She leaned forward and placed her lips gently and slowly on mine, and after a few seconds she pulled away and looked into my eyes whispering,
"You're my guardian angel."Hope you guys are happy I'm updating again! I really missed this story!
