My alarm clock went off at 7 am and I woke up in the same position I fell asleep in last night, curled up into a tight ball at the end of my bed. I pressed the off button and stood up looking down at my wrists. There were finger shaped bruises all over them.
Guess its a bracelet kind of day.
I put on my rubber bracelets and my sleeping with sirens crew neck. My black skinny jeans were a normal. I threw on my checkered converse and let my hair fall over my neck covering the bruises on the sides.

"Now students, don't forget about homecoming coming up next weekend! So hurry up and ask your dates cause it's gonna be out of this world!"
'Out of this world' real original.
The announcements shut off and I looked back down at my notepad. I loved English, but trying to write paragraphs at 7:45 in the morning killed me.
How am I gonna ask Lux to homecoming? I mean she is my girlfriend now I have to ask her, I want to ask her!
I notice that I'm doodling hearts on my paper and my teacher walks behind me.
"Thinking about homecoming I see."
I chuckled and erased the hearts quickly.
If I ask Lux to homecoming..everyone's gonna know I'm with her, and all my hard work of keeping it a secret will go away in a matter of hours. What am I suppose to do? Maybe I can say it's just a girls night and she's my friend. But I can't say that to her face! She'll be so heartbroken! Ugggg what do I do!?!?

'Hey pretty girl? Are you home?'
I texted Lux from my car in the parking lot of the jewelry store. I had bought her a diamond bracelet for homecoming. It was gonna look beautiful with her skin tone.
'Yes I am! Come over?'
Perfect!
'I'll be there in a few seconds'
I pulled out of the parking lot and drove quickly to her house. I got out of my car and walked up to her door ringing the doorbell with the bracelet box behind my back. I heard her practically run to the door and she opened it acting calm.
"Hey honey!"
She leaned forward kissing me sweetly.
"Hi there babygirl!"
I stepped in and I couldn't stop smiling.
"You seem like you're in a good mood today!"
She kissed me again, this time a little longer. I looked down and smiled.
"There's something I wanted to talk to you about actually."
She looked nervous for a second, like it was bad news. I pulled the box from behind my back and chuckled quietly as I opened the box revealing the note that said 'homecoming?' In big black letters on a paper on the top of the box. Her smile got bigger than ever and her eyes started to get watery. She nodded her head slowly then all at once she nodded it a lot faster.
"Yes, yes, yes! I thought I was gonna have to ask!!"
I smiled picking her up in my arms spinning her around kissing her.
"My girl."
