Promise you'll remember me

I MET JONGHYUN AFTER 5 YEARS

Morning rises.I ask my mom if I will be able to go to school today.She doesn't allow me.
"Omma please.Weekend is only one day away and during that I will stay here anyway.So can I atleast attend school today....I promise I will be fine" I beg mom over and over again.
"I don't know when you wanted to go to school this much" she frown.
After she had a short conversation with my doctor,we leave the hospital.
We went home and I got dressed for school quickly as I can and get in the car.Then I just remember that I forget to put on my wig ang glasses.
I ran up to room and put it on.

That evening,Sehun enquire why I did not come to school yesterday.I lied to him that I have headache.
I feel like time is rushing today.I look at the time and it was 6:53pm.Only few minutes left to be over.
"I thought you are absent because of me...like  you are too shy about the birthday gift that you gave me.But I guess I was wrong" he chuckles "Anyway thankyou for the book.It was a really good and interesting one."
The clock struck 7:00.
"Taerin have a nice weekend."

"You too" I reply.

I spent my weekend in the hospital.I decide to take a walk around the campus.My dad offer to accompany me but I refuse.The hospital campus was nice and beautiful.I feel like I'm in California right now because I'm "myself".I don't put on my fake stuff.I tied my hair in pony tail and wore the patients dress.I walk in to the hospital restaurant as I'm hungry.A man approach me and ask if I'm the daughter of that rich businessman in Korea.I just blankly stare him.He then apologize for mistaking me and continue asking my name and my dad's name.I tell him and he exclaimed that he was right in the first place.Then he left.
I look around to find a perfect spot for eating burger and found an empty seat in the last corner.As I sat down and take a bite of the burger,a stranger sat opposite to me.
"Min Taerin!!!" He mutter in chortle ."How are you?and why are you wearing the patients dress?" He gets serious and curiously ask me.
"Do I know you?" Was my reply.
He sighed.He glare at me and eat a spoonful of his dessert and after he gulp down,he neatly wiped his mouth with his handkerchief.He clear his throat and say
"Yep...who am I to be remembered by you.I'm your childhood best friend and friendly neighbor Kim Jonghyun."
I try recalling back the past and I remember him and he is indeed what he say he was.
"I miss you Hyunny" I burst out squeaking.He laugh and say "so you're still a fan of burger"
"Yup....forever....I can't believe I see my Hyunny again" I chortle.
His phone rang and he told me that he had to leave urgently and took my number.

I returned back to the VIP room and told my parents about my unexpected meeting with Jonghyun.Childhood memories came flashing back in front of me.Jonghyun and I went to the same elementary school together,hang out alot and we're partner in mischief.We promise that we will be BFF.But due to my illness,I was sent to California as doctor's suggested my parents that there were better hospitals in regard to my illness.After I was in California,I heard that Jonghyun and  his family moved to Japan.Slowly we lose in touch over time.

But here we are after 5 years,we meet each other again.He call me and we talk for several hours.The next day,he came to visit me with flowers and burgers.While his stay,teenagers kept coming in asking for his autograph and take pictures with him.
"Oh...when did my Hyunny became so popular?" I chanted.
He flip his hair up and smiled "South Korean popular boy group SHINee....have you ever heard of that?"

"Nope."

"Seriously??? Ok listen.I'm one of their member...main vocalist" he said raising his left eyebrows up.

"But you shouldn't be forgetting me as you're becoming a popular celebrity" I joke.

"Who will ever forget you?....and Minny do you ever thought of going to Texas,US I heard that one of the best hospital was situated there...it deals with all types of illnesses.If I'm not wrong the hospital name was IKON Medical Institute.Maybe you should go there" he suggested.

"Well,I don't know.I'll discuss my parents.I will die anyway.Will you miss me and cry after I die?"

"MIN TAERIN!!!!Are you crazy???....of course I will cry till my eyes pop out.I really will miss you" he exclaimed sadly.

"Awwww I shouldn't have said that.Come here let me hug my Hyunny"
And we hug.We are not just friends.We were more like brother and sister.

After Jonghyun left,I enquire my doctor how long I have to stay.He told me I will soon be discharge on Tuesday evening.I pleaded if I can be discharge today and here is his reply.  "No Taerin.Your illness is not a joke.It's a serious matter.It cannot be taken lightly"

After two days I was discharged from the hospital.
