chapter 8

After walking for about 10 minutes it started to rain that was better for me it could hide my tears I kept walking not knowing where I was going playing with my phone but not talking to anybody I was shaking barely making each step my breathing got heavy I held Mateos jacket close to me it made me feel safe for some reason.
My feet stop moving so I looked up I was at his house again I was at Matteo's house again I started to cry even harder wondering how he would react to me showing up at his house at 10 at night drag  foot each step I took towards the front door.
I stared at the door for a little while contemplating whether to knock or not I rest my hand on the door made a fist and knocked as hard as I could but it turned out sounding so soft
I started to turn around I change my mind I didn't want Mateo to see me like this or ayo I was being soft right now for so long I had him in my feelings they finally came out but I didn't want to show that side of me to a stranger. Even though they didn't feel like a stranger answer nonetheless I started to walk again away from the door until somebody opened it

???: hey..hey are you ok

It was a male voice but it didn't sound like Mateo or ayo

I didn't answer I slowly turned around knowing my hair was drenched.

Some guy was standing in the door that looked like this

???: shorty... Bro you look just like what Mateo...

My legs gave out I had been walking for about two hours straight
The boy ran towards me

???: MATEOO
He screamed in my ear

Me: damn nigga

???: sorry
He picked me up like a bride and carried me in the house

Damn how must this look a girl shows up in the front of his house crying

???: your eyes are puffy have you been crying

He said touching my cheek I looked down and nodded. He lifted my head back so our eyes met. In this lighting he didn't look that bad.

???: uhh... I... Uhhh I'll get Mateo

He got up

Me: hey umm.. What's your name?

???: key I'm.. Key and you are?

Me: I'm kaylanni or.. Lani

Key: got it
He smiled.

He has pretty teeth

Key: thanks

Me: I said that... Oops

We laughed and he walked off
I got up and looked at Mateo and leloo when they were little ...cute
Key POV

Ayo: so ... So lemme get this straight there was this thick ass girl in front of our house knocking on our door crying and you let her in. Bitch why the hell .. We finna die

Kay: nah nigga its the girl Mateo showed me earlier

Mateo: why the fuck you ain't say that in the first place
He said while running down the hall.

Kay's POV

I'm so fucking stupid ... Fuck me
I hurt my mom almost as bad as that man hurt me
Damn it

Tears started running down my cheeks  I say frozen flashing back to the first time I was raped

I watched little me run over to him and pull him off of a crying pooh

Pooh run deshawn remember

She nodded and ran out of the apartment

A younger me tried to get away

Noooo noo I screamed as he undressed me licking his lips

Please.... I'll tell mommy

Do it and die. You and that sweet little girl

Later that night (at dinner)

Little me waited until he put away his dish to tell my mom

Mommy.. He

A hand came and grabbed little men's shoulder hard

And it started over

I felt a hand touch my shoulder 

Me: not again... No more

I got up grabbed the hand twisted it and held it there until i saw it was key..

Me: I'm ...I'm so sorry I didn't realise

Key: its cool baby girl..

I started to blush and I saw Mateo turn read.

Wait I saw Mateo

I ran over to Mateo and put my head in his chest he made me feel so safe. His arms wrapped around me

Mateo: lala... What happened

I shook my head

Me: not again... Please

Mateo : its fine
He said kissing my forehead

Ayo: let's go to my room ight

I shook my head and we went back upstairs

The room was nice and we all sat on ayos bed and at that time I felt so comfortable with them that I told them about how me and my mom got in a fight and what it was over ayo gestured me over  so I sat near him with his arm over my shoulder eventually like that I fell asleep

When I woke up it was early in the morning early enough for no one to be up I wasn't sure what room I was in but I was alone. I decide to sing it always helped calm me and pooh.

I didn't think I was that loud but a knock came on the door and it was one of the boys... Shirtless
