chapter 12

Kay's POV

The whole time the only thing that was going through  my mind was pooh and mateo. The fact of the matter was I had a whole another family with Mateo and his brothers. DAMNIT I forgot mateos dance team thingy. I just want to go back to California I was so close into getting into the bloods. I think I'm in the ambulance I have no idea.
So many thoughts ran through my mind as I tried to open my eyes.
That's right I had just gotten done with physical therapy.
Well where is Teo and pooh and my mom works at this damn hospital.

The doctor walked in ...

Dr: hi doll

Me: don't

Dr.: okay.. Kaylanni is it

Me: yes women.

Dr: ok look
Her voice switched up and she started talking like she was keeping it 100.

Dr: the gunshot had come close to your ear because adrenalin was rushing through you you didn't feel it until shorty after but you were shot with a needle filled toxins used my medical physicians to slow down your heart rate known as anesthesia. Do you have any idea.

Me: the girl while I was talking to her she slightly moved her hand it was after I spoke with her that I fell out.

The doctor nodded and wrote this down. Soon after 3 police officers walked in asking to take my statement.

After giving them the whole story and avoiding questions like "where did you get the guns:"
I asked them to leave and bring my family in.

Everyone walked in at once the crowd of people surrounding me were all talking at once which made my ears ring and I felt a hot liquid ooze out of them.

Me: stop it.
I spoke and it seemed like everyone in the room stopped breathing.

Me: my ears are still sensitive what do each of you want tell me one by one .

Mateo spoke first.

Teo : are you ok?

Me:yes

Key: when will you get outta here.

Me: the doctors said most likely tomorrow if all goes well.

My mom stood there looking at me and started to cry while I went around the room answering questions.

Me: can you guys step for a minute.
Teo got up off the couch and moved everyone except for pooh moved.

Me: pooh get.

Pooh : I'm apart of this family whatever happens in here affects me .

I realised that I was effecting pooh with all of my bad influences.

My mom spoke

Mom: I'm gonna talk and I need you to listen until I'm done.
I just nodded.

Mom: I'm so sorry. The fact that my own child.... her voice broke.... could ever go through that was terrible. When me and your father were still together I cheated on him and had a beautiful baby girl. Your father out of spite made me get rid of her. Before she was taken away I named her ...jasmine. I had her with that man. I wish I could've stopped him i wish I could've saw it but unfortunately I can't do anything to change what happened . I can change now. I'm gonna be there for you two if you need me come straight here. I don't care what my boss says I care about you two.

Jasmine.... the name echoed over and over in my mind.

Me : mom I love you and I'm sorry I almost hurt you as much as he hurt me.

Pooh : group hug.??

We went with Pooh's suggestions and hugged it out.

Mom: I have taken the day off to spend here with you kay.

Me: actually mom maybe you should take pooh out what's the point of being here watching me ill be fine.

My mom assured I was ok and she needed to go back home and get some clothes for me anyway so she left . Shortly after Teo came in with bags. A couple from olive garden one from Zara and a couple from footlocker and forever 21.

He started to talk and his voice soothed me .

Teo: so I figured you would be hungry and I know you can't go to the restaurant so I brought the restaurant to you.

I smiled and looked at him go through the bags he had brought for me this nigga care that much.

Teo: OUU THIS IS MY FAVORITE PART.

He pulled out a black slip on dress and some all black harrachis.

Me; oh my God Teo I love. ..

He stopped and looked at me .

Me: this dress

i said picking up he dress hiding my pink face from him.
He moved the dress

Teo:I love you too.

Me: as friends right?

Teo: yea...

I smiled knowing me and him were thinking the same thing.

Me: whoever breaks first loses

He returned my smile

Teo: too easy.

I picked up the food he had brought me not realising how hungry I was.
