Chapter 7

Taliyah

Upon entering the club the music was electrifying. Swamps of people on the dance flaw gyrating on each other making the atmosphere lively and free. This is what I wanted to feel freedom. Following Kayla hand in hand we stop at the bar.

My nerves started kicking in as I never had anything stronger than wine plus I new all to well what alcohol did to people. Noticing my nerves Kayla brought her lips to my ears to talk so I could her hear through the music.

"Baby girl I know you scared but trust me the alcohol takes away all the nerves it make you feel free so try for me please but I won't force you" she spoke in a calm voice

Bringing my gaze to her eyes I saw how genuine her words were and decided that I was going to take a leap of faith... what the worst that could happen?

Not answering that question I said in my most confident voice "Bring the shots"
" That's my girl" Kayla said proudly.

"TOUCH DOWN! Girl you are on fire is that your 5 shot."
"You dam it is "I slurped feeling the effects kicking in. I have never felt more alive in my life... how did I take so long to meet with this magic... I had this new built energy pumping through my veins and I didn't want it too stop.

"Come on Taliyah, let's dance" Kayla slurped as well pulling me onto the dance fall. We swept through the swamp of people and found a spot on the dance fall where the body rhythms were intoxicating... moving my hips to the song I could faintly hear Kayla say you got the moves girl, remind me to take lessons.

Chuckling I closed my eyes and shut out everything except for the beat and me... I felt like I was all alone even though there were many people around me, this gave me a high that I never wanted to depart from.

A hand snaked around my waist and hot breath fanned my ears "you quite a tease temptress don't worry I will show what happens when you tease." That caused me to open my eyes quickly and turn around but there was no one who looked like a suspect.

That voice brought shivers down my spine not in fear but in excitement. How is that even possible... still looking around to find the person I highly believed did this because my body only reacts that can of way with one person and I came here to take my mind off that person.

Sighing that I didn't see him and feeling like I was going insane or probably the alcohol I went back to my dance but this time someone came behind me asking for a dance. He looked like a nice guy, cute baby face didn't look like he could do any harm so I said why not and started to move with him to the music.

He was a really good dancer as our body moved in rhythm to the beat.... I was enjoying myself .. the Taliyah I new would never do this in a lifetime... I did bring out an ultra ego and I love it. But even though I tried to push this feeling aside.. I could feel an intense stare burning holes in my souls.

Once the music stopped I turned to the cute boy and told him thanks for the dance, giving me a cute smile and a wink he said my pleasure and disappeared into the swamp of people... I didn't even get his name... how rude of I... still feeling the stares I decided to go outside to take some fresh air.

Kayla was having fun with this guy on the dance floor so I decided I wouldn't bother her and would be back in 5 minutes she would never no I left.

Once outside I took in the the fresh air and watched the night sky... I no longer felt the stares so that was a relief ... watching the stars... that brought back the memory of when I almost died , this beautiful image was the last thing I saw before darkness consumed me I felt at peace... this was probably a sign that I had a second chance at life.
