Chapter 2

Adrian

As I slowly walked up to her unconscious body i felt something I never felt before. What the fuck? What was that slight tuck at my heart. I couldn't explain it. Stooping down to have a closer look at her. I saw that she had high cheekbones and her brunette her was cascaded all over her face. Wasting no time I took my hand kerchief and applied pressure on the wound on her head.

Turning around I saw Vince on the phone talking to Tracy, our personal doctor. Turning back to look at her I whispered softly so she could only hear. "Everything is going to be alright"  Vince came up to me with a hard look on his face. I know that look too well.... his hurting inside because flash backs of his sister has triggered as we hit this girl.

He softly said to me that help was on the way before he walked away to light a cigarette. I feel for him but right now my main priority was this small girl in my arms. I don't know what it was but something about her held so many secrets that I wanted to uncover. And surely I will.

Taliyah

This bed was so soft. I could of sleep in it for years. Wait what! How was this bed so soft. Like a truck hit me the memories came flooding back to me. Running, glass, car, night sky! I bolted upright, only to regret it when a pounding head made itself known. My eyes burn from the light when I opened them to fast and I suddenly felt dizzy.

Fight through my discomfort I took deep breaths to look at my surroundings. I was in this big king size bed with a big window cascading the view of the city. I sucked in a harsh breath.... where the hell am I and how did I get here.

As if on queue the door to the bedroom opened and a tall women with big blue eyes and an hour glass shape came into the room wearing scrubs...this must be my doctor but why did she look so beautiful. This made me so insecure with my tiny frame, dull plain hair which probably looks like a birds nest. No Taliyah now is not the time.... you need answers.

Approaching me with a big smile that show off her white pearls she introduced herself as Tracy and said that she was my doctor. Pushing past the burn in my throat I softly asked her where am I.  Seeing my inconvenience she handed me the glass of water on the table. I reluctantly took it for I was so thirsty... once the water it my lips it was like glory ....I drank until the cup was empty

Tracy waited for me to drink so that she could answer my questions... once done I gave her a small nod for her to continue

So Taliyah you took a hard hit but as you can see you a fight she said with a warm smile. Wait how does she know my name..... my heart twisted at that thought. Still I didn't say anything I let her continue.... you have 3 broken ribs, a broken wrist and a concussion... take it easy so that you can heal properly and take the medicine prescribed to help with the pain apart from that you well off beautiful

I cringed when she called me beautiful... why lie to me just because I was in a bad situation...I pushed that thought on a side and asked my first question again....where am I?
Tracy looked reluctant to answer me to caused my heart beat to increase .. Taliyah you are in good hands, the person who you was in the accident with called me to take care of you... he will be here shortly to introduce himself ... you are currently at his residence in my care.

That cause me to open my eyes wide...... what!....did she jus say "he" and why was I at his house I'm sure they have enough hospital to accommodate me. Upon seeing my discomfort Tracy place her hand on my leg.... she whispered comforting words to me but I couldn't hear nothing for all my mind was telling me is that I am back in the monster's dungeon.

As Tracy left a small tear ran down my cheek ... I can never be free .... lord why couldn't I just die that night. Feeling restless I slowly closed my eyes even though I know I have to get out of here.

I was being softly tugged at my shoulder which brought me out of my slumber which only felt like 5 minutes. I opened my eyes slowly ,blinking a few times to adjust to the light. There stood in front of me a being that took my breath away. How could someone be so beautiful. He stood with so much confidence in front of me with his 6'3 height I believe, toned jaw and the most mesmerizing green eyes I have ever seen. He striking figure intimidating me.

I slowly sat up with him watching my every move which gave me goosebumps as a result of is intense stare. What felt like forever I stared in his eyes while he stared in my mine. His eyes held so many untold stories..... I could get lost in them... he icy cold piercing look was a cover up for his emotions.... a look I knew all too well when I look at my reflection.

The moment was lost when I saw heard someone clear their throat. Moving my gaze... I was meet with another tall man who was just as stern but held a warming smile on his face. He approached us with a mischievous look in his eyes as he said to the first guy "sup babe you were gone for so long that I started missing you"...... Wait I'm confused he was gay.... that caused me to feel a little disappointing.... why?

But my hopes came back up when the first guy sighed and told the other guy to fuck off and stop playing around.... that caused me to chuckle which caught both me and him off guard.

The silence became unbearably uncomfortable after... I fiddled with my fingers not knowing what to say... Finally the first guy introduced himself as Adrian and said the "the asshole over there Vince."
"I can introduce myself thank you." Vince said .. I like Vince already
"Adrian" I said softly causing a emotion to flick through his eyes but it was took fast that I couldn't catch it . "Taliyah" ... I said no knowing what to say again ...... can I trust this guy I never seeing with Alfonso so that's a benefit right?

I know he replied.. he knows? How? Seeing my confused expressions he quickly replied I did a back ground check on you.... what? He said that so calmly like that was fine. Oh boy I must be in some deep shit!

He took a seat at the end of my bed which caused my heart race to pick up I tried my best to make myself smaller... he sighed told me that when ever I was feeling better I was free to go ... everything would be paid for

A sighed a breath of relief at his words ... I wasn't going to be held hostage .... but where would I go ... I slightly nodded as disappointment filled me. As if he read my mind ... he hesitantly asked.. "you... can... stay here if you like." I was shocked at his request but I didn't show it.

He continued anyway "Not judging you but you look like you need somewhere to clear your head and I have a lot of space here plus you could work for me as my cook and cleaner if you want to so that we could be more professional.

I needed this offer... I had no other option plus he offered me a job ... that was good right? I slowly nodded my head stating I accepted his offer.... lord I hope I made the right decision ... in backing I hear Vince say "Where did this pussy come from" which caused me to smile and Adrian's face to harden
I even forgot Vince was here but he had to make his presence known.

Adrian got off the bed and told me to get some sleep not before he sent a death glare Vince way only to cause to smirk. Quietly they both left the room .

I laid back with all what has happened in two day swirling through my head ..... this was a new beginning and I hope it was for the better.
