It felt like I had spent a lifetime not moving. If I wasn't on the couch I was in the bedroom where my doctor would come to change my bandages out or having physical therapy, learning how to move by myself again after nerve damage from the incident. Anywhere I went I was either carried by Dan or Phil or Tyde, or sometimes even Troye. I couldn't go anywhere by myself, not even the bathroom. It was terrible. I couldn't wait to finally have freedom.
I had been at home for over 3 weeks now. I was sitting in the lounge watching Netflix when Phil came in. He sat down for a moment making small talk. It was nice having Phil. He never acted as if I had anything wrong with me, even when I was only wearing a sports bra and all of the bandages and tubes and other things were exposed.
Dan was out shopping and Adrian had been avoiding the flat for as long as he could. We had binged on a few different shows together before we heard footsteps climbing the stairs.
"Babe?" Dan said, "give me a hand with these? Hey, and I also had an idea for the gaming channel. Are you up for filming?" He echoed in the hall.
"Duty calls." Phil said to me.
"I'll be there in a sec, love." He called to Dan just before leaving.

It had been a while. Dan and Phil were yelling loudly in the gaming channel room. I was tired of sitting on the couch and was quite hungry. I knew that the boys were busy, Tyde was at home and had been spending a lot of time here so I didn't want to bother him and Adrian hadn't spoken to me for a very long time. I decided it was time for me to try helping myself.
The plan was that I would stand, walk down the three stairs between the lounge and the kitchen, and grab some cereal at the kitchen table. It wasn't far so I thought I could manage. I started to stand up. It stung but I tried to push through it. The farther I stood up the more it hurt. My legs gave out and my scars ached. I started to fall forward when I was caught by a vaguely familiar body.
I was gently set back into my spot on the couch.
I looked up and met eyes with my brother for the first time in almost 2 months.
"That was stupid of you." He said quietly. "Are you trying to hurt yourself?"
"I-I- well-" I stammered, amazed that I was finally speaking to Adrian, my very best friend again. I had no idea what to say.
"Are you okay?" He said.
"Fine, I'm absolutely fine. Can you- can you sit with me?" I asked.
He hesitated a moment before sitting down with me.
"Adrian, I was an idiot. I'm so sorry that I was so mean to you a while back. I was an idiot for leaving. I love you. I'm so sorry." I said quickly.
He looked at me for a moment before saying his apologies.
Within a couple of minutes the awkward silence cut off and we were back to our usual relationship before everything had went down.
"So..a new boy in your life?" He said in a teasing tone, "do you looooove him?"
