I woke up to the sound of a rooster. I rubbed my face feeling groggy.

After getting ready, brushing my teeth, and brushing my hair for twenty minutes trying to get the tangles out, I walked down stairs to eat breakfast.

I ate two pieces of bacon, scrambled eggs, and drunk one cup of orange juice. It was so delicious. Since my mom has died, I have been doing most of the house work and food cooking for my dad.

I picked the fastest horse I could ride because its going to be a long journey.

After three miles, I made it to the town.

"Hey Bob." I said to the mailman as he got onto his wagon carriage.

"Hey May, anything new?" He said smiling.

"Not really, just filling in for my dad." I say waving goodbye.

"Okay. Good luck!" He said waving goodbye to. Bob is a good man. He has no wife and kids but he is apparently fine with it.

As I heard the horse's hooves move east, I made my way to Mr.Browns office.

"Hello Mr.Brown" I say knocking on the door.

"Hello Ms. Green, got everything you need?" He said .

"Yep." I say

"Good, but your late." He said

"What?" I say confused.

"Your late. They got a twenty minute head start. You can catch up if you get a move on right now." He said looking at me with no expression.

"Oh. I'm sorry." I said as I ran out the door.

I jumped on to my horse and pulled the reigns. I was gone in a flash.

I hope my dad isn't disappointed with me. I should of went to sleep early and not stay up all night reading a book.

Finally after riding for twenty minutes in the hot, blazing sun, I saw a couple of dark figures moving in the horizon.

I cupped my hands and covered my eyes. I saw at least ten people walking and two people on a horse. I was sure that this was it.

I pulled the reigns and we flew down there. As I could finally see who they are and what they look like I slowed down.

Finally noticing the ten Indians walking and the two cowboys, I pulled the reigns to make Joe slow down.

"And who might you be?" A cowboy said over to my right.

He was holding something up, but I couldn't really see it because of the stupid sun I my eyes.

I shielded my eyes and saw that he was pointing a gun at me.
