"We're almost there. The road to Crawford is about 30 minutes. You guys don't have to pay me anything it's free during your first ride." The driver said.
"Thanks. It's been a long ride because we came from Japan." Hajime replied with a smile.
"Really?! Dude, that's awesome! I heard about Japan but I want to meet someone who came from there."
"Good for you. I can tell you about cultures in Japan."
As Hajime was chatting to the taxi driver, Nagito looks at him and laughs softy.
'It's nice to see him happy like this.' He thought and reached into his silver backbag(the one he brought from the airport) to search for his book called Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami. He was about to ready to read it when Chiaki has a worried look on her face.
"What's wrong? Is there something that is bothering you? he asked.
She looks at Nagito and decides that telling him about it won't harm him.
"It's just that...there were rumors in the airport that there were zombies attacking Atlanta last night. To make it worse, when I was shopping for headphones, someone said that three people came out of the airplane...with a bite marks on their necks. The paramedics came and took them to the hospital. That's when they announce that the airport has to be shutdown."
"I'm sure the reporters announce it on the news."
"That's another thing that's bothering me. Before we came to America, the news didn't mention any zombie apocalypse or attacks in Atlanta. If the news did report an early emergency about a possible zombie apocalypse, then we wouldn't come to America."
He stood still for a second, processing this situation.
"Well, Chiaki" Nagito said, as he cleared his throat, uneasily. "That's suspicious. I think of this situation based on the tv shows that I watched: before a zombie apocalypse, at least a few people had to be sick. Then, one of their loved ones would take them to the hospital immediately. The doctors would notice that something is wrong with them and placed them in a lab with medical scientists. I believe that the sick people become zombies and attacked the people in the lab. They would quickly call the government military and warned them about the zombies. The scary part is that people are trying to figure out how long it would take them to become zombies. It's probably either they mistook the zombie virus as just a regular flu, fever, etc or they were conducting research for a longer time and somehow the zombie must have invaded the whole hospital in Atlanta. I hope I help you solve the problem."
"I guess that might explain why they didn't report the news early...I think." She said.
Suddenly, Hajime turns around and clears his throat.
"Guys. I think these rumors are trying to scare everybody so they can make them feel nervous. It's safe to say that everything that you heard Chiaki, was false. Think about it. We didn't see this situation when we came here. So, please don't feel scared. There's no such thing as zombies."
Everything makes sense now to them. Zombies are not real. There are just fictional monsters who were made for entertainment. Thanks to Hajime's reasonings, she smiles softly and all of her worries quickly vanishes.
The car stopped and the trio git out of the car, excitied to see how amazing Crawford is.
"We're here! Welcome to...Crawford?" Hajime said, with a shock along with his friends.
