"We need to get out of this town before it's overrun by zombies." Hajime said, worriedly.
"There's no time to panic. Grab everything we need to travel. Warn Nagito that the zombies are coming and we need to leave." Chiaki commands.
He winces when she mentions his name. Hajime felt guilty about calling him a psycho and a liar.
'How I'm going to apologize to him when Nagito is angry with me?' He thought.
Quickly, Hajime went upstairs to find a ladder that leads up to the attic. Taking a deep breath, he went upstairs to face him.
"Nagito, are you there?" He called out.
"Yeah. I'm here."
There he was, Nagito sitting crisscross on the bed, watching the window, not facing Hajime.
"Listen. I wanted to say that I'm sorry for accusing you like that. You were right about the zombies. Now, they are swarming through the streets. We need to leave." He said.
"I don't think so." Nagito replies with a growl.
"Uh?! Why are you still mad at me? I said I was sorry."
"I don't think I believe your apologizes, Hajime."
"Come on! This is no time to be arguing. We need to go. You were right about this. I admit I was wrong and how I didn't believe you that you are a different person now. Why are you so stubborn about this?!" He shouts at him.
Finally, Nagito turns around and face him with anger, raising his eyebrows.
"And why would I come with you and Chiaki? A trash like me should be tied up in the attic so I don't harm you guys with my "crazy games". Ever since that first trial ended, people avoided me like I'm their enemies." He said, while he look away from him.
'So that's how he felt about the others when he showed his true colors to them.' He thought, sadly.
"The reason I want you to come with us is because you don't deserve to be alone. If I left you at the house, then I will regret that." Hajime whispers with sadness.
After thinking about his words, he look at him again. He remembered how he and Hajime first met at the island.
With a nod, Nagito stands up and quickly went downstairs with him to grab the supplies: foods, batteries, water bottles, and medicines. Each of them even brought their mini backpacks with them.
"Did you guys get everything you needed?" She said, when the boys arrived at the dinner room.
"Yep." They both said in unison.
"Thank goodness, you're okay, Nagito. I thought you were hurt." She said, with smile.
"It's okay. I accepted his apologies. I can even lead you guys to the stores where it stores the weapons." Nagito replies, with a smile.
"That's great! This should be easy." He said, happily.
"Well...there is one problem with this situation." He sighs, sadly.
"What's wrong? It is because the store is far away?" The brunette said, nervously.
"Oh. The store is not far away. It's the horde I'm concerned about. Think about it. The horde is a huge pack and if I'm the only one who has a weapon, then it's going to be hard to defend you guys."
"Which means that we have to be cautious about the environment and try to avoid getting their attentions on us." Chiaki replied.
"That's right. We need to be quick but try not to start any noises otherwise the zombies will be attracted to loud noises." He said, with a nod.
