The wedding was a grand affair. All of Gondolin was present for the event. Glorfindel stood where he had been directed, said his vows, and tried to hide the fear that was threatening to flood the new bond between him and the elf at his side. He was in a daze for the whole day. The elf at his side led him where they needed to go, when they danced, and moving around the city. His brain was blank. Sure, he knew when the vows had been said as the bond had formed between him and the other elf. He couldn't think. He was a little stiff to the eyes of most gathered, his panic and shock only felt faintly by his bonded.
The noise stopped. The lights were dimmer. A hand on his arm was gently guiding him away from the festivities. A voice was softly telling him to do something. The floor was swaying. Blackness consumed him, yet still he heard the soothing voice making promises and he fell into peaceful slumber.

Erestor had walked up the aisle to Glorfindel. He and Ecthelion shared a look when Glorfindel responded in the traditional parts, never straying from script. Glorfindel's eyes were empty, only a flicker of fear shone.
Erestor found himself taking the lead, guiding Glorfindel down the aisle, to the table ladden with food, the dance floor and steps of the dance. He even had to hint for the Vanyarian to eat. The day had gone smoothly, all things concidered.
Erestor had mingled with other elves, barely feeling the bond between him and the Vanyarian. He had forgotten his bonded in a corner of the room, being distracted by well wishers.
"Have you seen Glorfindel, Ecthelion? I can't find him anywhere." Rog looked slightly worried, not noticing Erestor coming to stand by him, a similar expression on his face."I seem unable to find him also." Erestor seemed as if he was on the verge of panicking.
"He's your bonded. How can you loose a tall blonde elf in a crowd of black haired elves?" Ecthelion was truly curious about that.
"He's been blocking the bond since it formed. Last I saw of him, he had been by the pillar across the room. I'll check there. When I find him, I'll be taking him to his House and hopefully he won't faint before we reach his rooms." Erestor found his bonded and managed to leave the reception unnoticed. Erestor led Glorfindel into the House of the Golden Flower, the lights becoming dimmer and the noise fading away the farther they traversed from the festivities.
Erestor sighed in relief when they reached their desired destination and sent a prayer of thanks to the Valar that Glorfindel was still able to move. He led Glorfindel to the bed and undressed his husband, helping the Vanyarian to dress in nightwear. At some point, Erestor could not tell when, Glorfindel started to hyperventilate and sway ever so slightly. Erestor gently held Glorfindel's arm, trying to guide the tall elf to sit on the bed.
"Glorfindel, breathe slowly for me. Breathe in then out. I know that you are scared but all will be well. Please try to calm down. Glorfindel-!" Erestor was gentle as he spoke to his bonded, sending waves of calmness and peace through the bond. Glorfindel's panic rushed to Erestor right as the golden haired warrior started to fall to the ground, unconscious. It was the second time that Erestor thanked the Valar that night as Glorfindel was close enough to the bed that Erestor was able to catch and lay Glorfindel on the bed, holding him protectively.
"Sleep, Glorfindel. I will watch over your dreams. I will stand by you and care for you as no other could do. Nothing will keep us apart. I told Turgon that we were not to be disturbed till a week has passed. By then, I hope and pray that you will allow me to fulfill my vows and promises to you." Erestor felt his bonded's peace and knew that his words had been heard.
