Brianna and I are official, Damn I'm proud! I was so happy when she accepted to go out with me, sure we had difficulty with her big brother and all but I understand his pain. If my little sister came home with some guy that holds a reputation for being such an asshole, I'd have already put a shotgun up his- well you get the picture.

He eventually warmed up to me and now we're like best buddies!
Yep, the power of love. Ugh, ewww! Nah, I meant..pfft forget it you get what I mean.

I'm at home playing video games with my little sister when I get a text, it's from Elms.

Elms: hey bro, you gotta get to the hospital ASAP. It's Leslie.

I feel like I've been hit with a ton of bricks. Shit!

* Lola POV *

Wow, this whole year was really awesome...except the whole thing with Les. I didn't really know how to regard his feelings but he eventually told me to forget it, at that movie night. I cried when I told him I loved him. I actually never felt so broken...when my dad and older sister died, the pain was just like this except this was a person who knew me well enough to tell if I was lying. The fam don't really know me too well but he'd probably be the only one.

My thoughts are interrupted when I get a text. It's from Elms.

Boyfwen: hey babe, get over to the hospital ASAP. It's Leslie.

I feel my chest contract and my eyes water. Oh no.

* Deina POV *

Louis and I are at home, we're watching TV and just snuggled together. Ever since we got together, we've been inseparable. I smile into his chest and breath in his woodsy scent.

Somehow from snuggling, we end up bantering on about if Apple juice is real or artificial. I know it's somewhat of a pointless argument but I don't know why even I find it amusing.

We're interrupted when Louis's phone and my own start beeping like crazy.

I open mine and read the text from Lolo.

Beba: OMG DEINA HOSPITAL RN! ASAP!!PLEASE IT'S LES.

At the last sentence I feel my heart drop. I look at Louis and he gives me the same look. I get my purse and phone, Louis gets the keys and we're on our way.

*Barrie POV*

Lolo, Elms, Austin, the twins and Brianna are all gathered around him. He's got all these tubes connected to his body and he's sleeping. Lolo is crying her heart out as she lies near him, squeezing him tight to her own body. Elms and Austin have their heads down in silence and the girls are sobbing quietly.

I stand at the door, unable to take the fact that my best friend is lying in a hospital bed. I honestly prayed day and night that this day won't come.

Leslie's little sister bursts into the room and her little eyes land on her brother. She sinks to the floor, hugs her knees to her chest and cries. I go to her and once I hug her she grabs me tight and cries her eyes out. Poor girl, she's only 12.

Just then Deina and Louis walk in. As soon as Deina sees Leslie she turns to Louis and buries her face into his chest, crying just as hard as Lolo.

Leslie slowly regains consciousness and when he does I'm the first to see him.

* Leslie POV*

I wake up a little dazed and look up to a while ceiling. I've got a oxygen mask on my face and tubes connected to me. Oh man, this is a little awkward for me because I have nine pairs of eyes on me and only one set of eyes I recognize before the rest.
